Incredible Value. Quality is very good for the money. Nothing wrong with the set except minor cosmetic imperfections. Not dirty but does have a mild to moderate rubber odor (wipe them down first and then let them sit outside or in the garage for a day or so). There are no instructions for the stand assembly. Look at the picture and it's easy to figure out. You'll need the following tools (mandatory): 5mm Hex L-Wrench ("Allen wrench" or "Hex Key") and 13mm Wrench (preferred), Vice Grips or Pliers. Solid weights, definitely came with a bit of a smell and a bit oily, but cleaned up with a quick clorox wipe. for assembly - get yourself a 13MM socket and a #5 allen wrench. Mine didn't come with instructions, but the large bolts go for the bottom base and the small ones everywhere else. Below you will find my original review. I am updating the review because the smell is so bad, it has pretty much made the weights unusable. I live in a 3,500 sqft house, and the smell is so bad that has permeated the whole house. I had to put the weights outside. I haven’t even been able to use the weights because they smell so bad, and the smell clings to your hands. I would recommend buying something else. Below is my original review. The weights themselves seem pretty good, which in my opinion, is the most important part. The stand came without any instructions, or tools to assemble the unit with. Assembly is pretty straightforward. It would have been nice if the unit would have come with the hex-key and wrench needed to tighten the bolts. Also, there were a few washers that were useless because the middle of the washer hadn’t been punched out completely. As you’ll see in the majority of the reviews, everything in the box smells. The moment I picked up the box I was met with the awful smell. The smell is strong enough to permeate a whole room. My hands smelled pretty bad after setting everything up. The smell is reminiscent of diesel. I wanted to give a two star review because of the smell and lack of tools, but again, I think the weights are the most important part, and the weights are solid. Purchased these weights on sale on Prime Day. The box arrived severely damaged, just due to how heavy the item was, but thankfully nothing inside the box was damaged. There were no instructions to assemble the stand, but it was fairly simple to figure out and did not take too long. The weights did have a VERY strong smell of rubber/plastic when they arrived, but after they aired out for a week or two it became less noticeable. As for performance, they are well made with grooves to help with grip. They’re not as comfortable as the neoprene style weights, but they are not uncomfortable to use. I really like the rack they came with, it looks sleek and makes storage easy. Overall they are versatile weights and perform as expected. They’re great for a beginner like myself. However they ultimately lost a star due to the bad odor, shipping issues, and not including instructions to assemble the stand. Read more

Love these weights. Did not come with instructions on assembly, but it was pretty straight forward. Others have commented about the smell, yes they smell like rubber. These are perfect for at home workouts. Grip is great, the storage tower is compact and keeps the weights organized. The only negative is that they are very stinky. The smell is just now starting to fade after a couple months of use. I keep them downstairs and when I go down the smell fills the whole area and it’s a large area. Read more

I just received these weights yesterday afternoon. I was so pumped to get pumped!!! I bought these for $99 with free shipping. Super great deal!! However, As I began unpacking the weights I was hit with a terrible rubbery-industrial smell, and the weights were covered in a light oily substance. I wiped them off with a damp cloth with dish soap and immediately wiped them dry with a microfiber cloth to get rid of the oil. That worked well. There are still some spots I need to go over again. These weights are intended to be used inside my office/gym and hopefully this smell will go-away soon. I suggest letting the weights sit in the garage or outside until the smell dissipates. I will update after a couple weeks regarding the smell. One of the 10lb weights came with some visible rust right out of the box. and this really drops the rating. I'd like a replacement. I don't want to send the entire set back for one weight. I will also update the rating based on the customer service for the replacement. I did not put together the stand as I had already purchased one with 5 slots (hoping to get some 25lbs soon). The stand that comes with the weights is comparable, except that it only has 4 slots and is just a bit shorter. Read more
