Was doing alot of online research on Amazon looking for a decent bar for someone on a tighter budget. CAP gets a bad rap for being considered "cheaper" than most brands, but I think otherwise. I have an EZ curl bar from them, olympic dumbell handles and plates, and they all work just fine. This is a great bar for the price. The knurls are at a nice medium depth not to deep, and not to smooth (there is no center knurl for those who do snatching, etc. But I personally prefer my bars without it). I gave it a test roll on the floor and this bar rolled perfectly flat, as it should, so I know it isn't bent or warped. The end sleeves have a nice spin time (for those who don't know, sleeves spin to reduce tension on the wrists, allow the weights to move easier, and allow for smoother lifts). I tested both ends three times each, and the average was about 4 seconds, giving it a pretty hard double hand turn. The most I've added to this bar so far was 605lbs for a standard deadlift, and there wasn't even the slightest bend, so this bar definitely can handle heavy weight. I have just started to build up my home gym and have not had the proper equipment to do anything extremely heavy with it yet. I have maxed out at 235 pounds so far and the bar held up to the test easily. I ordered the 45lb bar and it works. My 2” bumper plates fit without any issues and the bar knurling is good. I’ve been using the bar for about 1 month and have had no issues. So far I’ve only put on 260lbs of plates and the bar holds up; can easily hold more weight. My order arrived on time and only had a few minor scratches when it arrived; nothing major to affect the performance. Overall quality is great for the price! Read more

While it took a few weeks to get here, I'm glad I waited -- it's a good, sturdy bar at a great value. Measures and weighs true (7 ft., 45lbs., accepts 2 in. plates). Knurling is sufficiently "aggressive" -- coarse enough to get a great grip (particularly important for those big stiff-legged deadlifts) but fine enough to not shred your hands in the process. First off this supposed 45lb bar is only 35lbs but worse, the washer inside the end of the side blew off after a few months of use. The screw it was supposed to be under is stuck in the bar so another washer cant be put. I jammed a hair tie into it and it lasted longer than the original washer. The knurling, bar grip circumference, and spin are actually all surprisingly decent however this doesn't make up for its awful durability and literal false advertising as a 45lb Olympic bar Read more

Barbell works fine. I just wish I knew it was only 35lbs. I really don't know if it gave the weight in the description. I just assumed an "Olympic" barbell weighed 45lbs. I've never seen a 35lb barbell. It's my fault for not checking. I wish it weighed 45, but overall happy with it. Read more

I got the 370lb set and after almost 2 months of use everything is holding up great. The barbell is a snap ring design with a powerlifting diameter on the bar. I took off the sleeves and cleaned/oiled them and they spin remarkably well. Really well done product. 10lb plates seem a little flimsy but have not presented any kind of issue Read more
