The 40-grit is coarse enough to remove weld seams and rust quickly, yet the flap design leaves a much smoother finish than a hard grinding wheel. Fit perfectly on my Bauer angle grinder They are durable, last a long time in use, and cut quickly. Zirconia is tougher and longer lasting than aluminum oxide discs. Perfect for material removal on flat surfaces and outside corners at shallow angles. The quality is much higher than I expected at this price point. Cons: None. I got these discs for sharpening blades on my lawn mowers. These flap discs are 40 grit and are quite coarse. They quickly remove a lot of material, which is perfect for sharpening lawn mower blades as you literally need to remove a lot of material to restore badly damaged apex and edges. These disks also last as flap pads are made from Zirconia grinding media which is extremely hard and maintains superior hardness under high temperatures. The discs are quite thick so you may need to remove the backing arbor nut to make some space for flying debris between the disc and blade guard lip. I also noticed that these discs generate significantly less sparks as they remove bigger material particles and generally run cooler than lower grid discs. Read more
