Perfect! Just the look I wanted. I had purchased a different pair of cap toe dress shoes, but those turned out to have that extra elongated look that made my feet seem two sizes bigger! Just not my style, so had to return them. These shoes are "just right." I normally take a size 8.5 D in a shoe like this, and these were spot on, size-wise. Unlike my old pair of similar shoes (also Florsheim's) that had a leather sole, these have a rubber sole that will no doubt provide better traction in various conditions. The absence of a leather sole in no way detracts from the formal nature of these shoes. I put three coats of Lincoln Stain Wax on them, and they buffed to a high shine. Definite keepers! Read more

Decided to try these out because my job is really rough on shoes and I'm tired of shelling out for nice shoes only to get scuffed up soon after. The choice is usually to buy cheap bonded leather-type shoes that fall apart or scratch to hell when you just breathe on them or to buy expensive full grain leather shoes, but Florsheim shoes are a nice mid-choice. You get the quality and durableness from real leather without the full grain leather price. I've worn these a month now and they have proven impressively resistant to scuffing and have held up nicely. I can tell they will last at least as long as the more expensive J&Ms I usually buy. And at 25% less than J&Ms, these shoes are a no-brainer. Read more
