These floss picks have a nice solid feel to them while being streamlined. The floss is fine, but firmly set in place and I can get through all of my teeth without it breaking or showing signs of weakness. I like this because I can effectively scrape, pretty aggressively, the space between my teeth to get out plaque/tartar that brushing alone can't do. Other reviews note that the material these are made of isn't 100% recyclable, but even if they're going into a landfill, at least they're not plastic, so they should break down faster. As a side note, I understand that such single-use items frequently end up in the ocean and small+/or growing aquatic life swim in and get stuck between the floss and the body of the pic, so I'm in the habit of cutting the floss before I throw it away. The pick/hook on these is pretty sturdy and thick, so you may not be able to get it to slide as deeply between close together teeth as with some other, flimsier brands. But I like that there's no possibility of this breaking off between your teeth or not fishing something out with pinpoint accuracy - it definitely does, with a rounded ergonomic finish that won't irritate your gums. There's maybe a little excessive packaging, putting four smaller boxes into one big one, but you can see that the quality is definitely there. It also makes distributing these among various bathrooms in the house a lot easier. Read more

My husband and I both prefer using floss picks, but I’ve always felt a little guilty about the amount of plastic waste from single-use products. I’m really happy I found these as an alternative. You get a great quantity for the price, and the quality is excellent. Knowing they’re made from biodegradable materials makes me feel much better about using a convenient, one-time-use product. These wooden floss picks are earth-friendly alternative to plastic flossers. The wooden pick feels gentle on gums and teeth, and the grin-glide design helps slide between tight spaces without too much effort — ideal for daily cleaning after meals. They’re easy to use and good for quick clean-ups on the go or at home, and they don’t have any strong or artificial flavors, which is nice. The only thing is that sometimes the wooden picks can be a bit fragile compared to sturdier plastic options, so I need to be a bit gentle when flossing to avoid splitting. But for everyday use, they work well and make oral care a little more environmentally conscious. Read more

In my photo, the top one is this product. The bottom is the product I usually buy (SmartlifeCo). Though these ones are cheaper ($9.99 vs $15.99 for the same quantity of 200, or I can get 400 of my regular ones for $22.99) I am not able to use them as effectively. First, the handle part has no useful 'grip'. There is some texture built in, but it goes in the same direction that my fingers would slide off - so it's not useful. Second, I need to 'bite' on floss picks as I move the floss back and forth, to fit them between my too-tight teeth. The top of these has a steady angle which causes the 'bite' to change direction of the pick instead of actually helping the floss to work its way downward. (The top of my regular ones is parallel to the floss string, so I don't have that issue.) These are also just thinner material overall which makes it harder for me to handle. These work, and if you like the shape, go for it! But for me, the subtle design differences are enough that these are not convenient enough to continue ordering. Read more
