This is the cutest skirt! I bought the black. If you are about 40" from waist to floor it will hit just above your toes making it the perfect maxi length wearing flats or kitten heels. True to size, elastic pull-on waist makes it so comfy and is a true A-line style, not straight, so it is easy to walk. Attached slip is fine, comes to just below the knee making the bottom portion very sheer. I purchased for a Kentucky Derby event and luckily had a black full length A-line skirt of lightweight fabric WITH SIDE POCKETS. This skirt DOES NOT have pockets, but since I sew, I attached my skirt with pockets to the side seams of the tulle skirt to match up with the pockets and it worked out great. Pockets are almost a necessity when going to gala/fundraisers, but super handy every day as well. With a full length black slip, or underskirt in my case, it gives it a more formal, yet fun, appearance which is what I needed. It definitely has more pizzazz that a plain black skirt - lots of movement. The larger portions of tulle won't bulk you up since most of it is below the hip - not flaring out from the waist.
