a GenX mom POV—March 11, 2026
I ordered this drying rack because I needed one that I could use indoors, in the yard, as well as take with me when we head out with the RV. I do not like to run a lot of clothing in the dryer. Taking articles out of the washing machine I throw them in the dryer for a few minutes to take that initial wetness out and then I take them out of the dryer, give them a good snap, smooth out any wrinkles, and hang them on this rack to air dry. I was simply using hangers across the shower bar. But after a bathroom remodel, we are now using glass doors, so I needed another solution. I’m so glad I found this rack since it does have the portable design. Yet it offers me a lot more space for many different clothing and other washable items. It is easy to use and folds up nice and flat, allowing me to easily slide it under the bed when not use. Read more

I'm taking a star off this good product because the product photos show it is "2.35 in" thick when folded down. This is not accurate. Maybe that measurement is only supposed to be the two bottom feet and isn't meant to include the entire rack and folding arms, but it's not as thin as promised. I am barely able to squeeze it between my washer and the wall and that space is about 3.5 inches. I selected this drying rack primarily because of this promised thin folded thickness, so I was disappointed in the actual thickness. I may be able to slightly bend some of the support arms so they fold down better against the frame, but I want to try it as-is for now. Otherwise, this is a good drying rack and we'll definitely keep it and use it regularly. It's pretty light-weight and easy to move around. It's easy to setup and prop up all the wings, but usually I only need one or two of them, not all of them. If you have a very small space, maybe choose a smaller drying rack unless you need the extra drying space. The little clothes pins attached to the center hinge are an interesting feature, but I haven't used them yet since they're a little hard to reach down there in the middle. Likewise the mesh net stretched between the two legs is a little hard to access, but I did use it once so far. Read more

This coat rack is so versatile! The parts of this are easy to move depending on the height of the garment or item you're drying. This even comes with four shoe holding pieces in case you need to dry shoes as well, but they also work for bags too. The instructions are a bit unclear, but results in only taking minutes to put together either way. It comes with 10 clothes pins, and each side has a bar with a groove making it easier to hang hooks on or hangers. It also folds down super easy; making it perfect to store away when not in use. This is great for whatever the living situation! Read more

This drying rack is really helpful if you have clothes that you prefer to air dry. It has a lot of space with the two tiers and the side wings, so you can hang quite a few items at once like shirts, sweaters, and smaller pieces. I also like the sock clips because they make it easy to hang smaller items without them falling off. The frame feels sturdy and stable once it’s set up, and I like that the height and sides can be adjusted depending on what you’re drying. It’s also nice that it folds down when you’re not using it, which helps save space. Overall, it’s a practical and convenient option for drying laundry indoors or outside. It holds a lot more than I expected and has been really useful. Read more

This foldable drying rack offers a generous amount of hanging space while still being easy to store, making it a practical option for apartments, balconies, or laundry rooms. The stainless steel frame feels sturdy and stable, and the adjustable wings let you raise or lower the height depending on the clothing you’re drying. The built‑in sock clips are a helpful touch for small items, and the two‑tier layout provides room for both long garments and flat‑dry pieces. It folds down quickly for compact storage, and the overall build handles daily laundry without wobbling. Pros: Stainless steel frame feels durable and stable; Adjustable wings accommodate long or short garments; Folds flat for easy storage in small spaces; Sock clips included for small items; Suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Cons: Hinges can feel stiff the first few uses; Not ideal for very heavy items like wet blankets; Takes up more floor space when wings are fully extended. Read more

This drying rack came with some of the worst assembly instructions I’ve ever seen. They were confusing and not very helpful, so I eventually gave up trying to follow them and just figured it out on my own. After a bit of trial and error, I was able to get it assembled correctly. Once put together, though, it’s a great drying rack. It’s very large and can easily hold a full load of laundry. I also appreciate that it folds down easily for storage, which makes it convenient to tuck away when not in use. Overall, the setup process was frustrating, but the rack itself works very well. No screws needed or provided! So easy! So it comes pretty much built You just slip things into the main body. I will admit the directions are pretty confusing but once you get the visual down it's so easy. And the versatility of folding it up putting it away and getting it out and layering things anyway and side you want is just phenomenal. Love it. At the time of this review they were asking almost $70 and I really haven't been shopping for these So I can't tell you what they normally go for, but it seems like a pretty good deal to me because of the word I've used about three times already in this review... Versatility! Ease of use! Oh all the pieces and parts are fairly durable too... Read more
