The first thing I liked about it - An thought mentioning, can be chalked up to my not looking at all of the diagrams closely enough. It's almost 15" Tall. Which was a big positive for me, because a lot of these "portable" fold-up stands try to be "too" portable.. and they don't take the guitar's weight / centre of gravity into consideration - which means, just breathing on it too heavily makes your precious Heirloom Martin come crashing to the ground. Anyway - this stand is a good compromise of a height. It's not gonna fit in your pocket (Unless you're Harpo Marx) - but it should fit in your Gig Bag. But more importantly, it's tall enough to adequately support the barrel of your guitar. It has a square tubular metal construction - Very Sturdy. Rubber feet are nice fit on snugly, and are balanced - so they don't wobble. Because the unit folds, the Cradle Arms are on a sturdy bolted hinge - BUT ...The Foam-Covered Arms have some "Bend" to them.. so you can adjust how your specific instrument "sits" - (which is Very Helpful if your guitar has an irregular shape or size). Last Positive - if you look at the picture, you'll see that the main vertical tube has a tongue cutout at the base- That's the feature they don't even highlight/ The Base is connected by another sturdy swing-down hinge, so when you unfold - you pull it down and that cutout fits around a pin inside the base, ensuring no movement - and a great amount of stability. A Very Cool Design... again trying to give you as much stability and keeping it withing a "portable" profile. And All This for less than $10?! Last Night, I left Late for work... Didn't want fast food - So, I stopped at the Large grocery chain 2blks from work, and bought a packaged tuna fish sandwich on a roll, and a 16oz bottle of Root Beer - Those two items ended up costing $2+ more than this Guitar Stand. It’s alright. Not the most stable thing, but put it in the corner of the room away from kids and dogs, use common sense, and it gets the job done. Not a lot of wiggle room for error or catastrophe with this, but it doesn’t advertise that, it just says it’ll hold your guitar, and until there’s forceful intervention, it will. Read more
