This pad is lightweight and thin, easy to carry alongside my yoga mat looping the strap through the handle. The problem is, even when I double it up, it doesn’t feel much cushier. If you buy a cushier product you’re unlikely to be able to fold it in half. If you have serious knee issues, like I do, this won’t help much. It’s really just a slight improvement over kneeling straight onto your yoga mat. My club has some pads that are much cushier. But, surprise… there aren’t usually enough to go around. If you need just a little support, this is fine. But if you’re a senior with arthritis look for something thicker and less firm! Read more
I used this bad boy during hot yoga the other day! Overall it’s really great and a great addition to your yoga practice. Pros: I have bad old lady knees even though I’m 37, so I need a little extra cushion when I do yoga because my dang knees just hurt ok. This guy is super thick and comfortable, and just the right size to fit both my creaking joints on it when I’m doing pigeon pose or whatever so that I don’t cry. Cons: Maybe this is a hot yoga thing but when I moved it in anyway it made this loud squeaking noise and the hot shirtless guy next to me kept looking at me like maybe I was tooting some sort of rubber, so that wasn’t great. Overall I will be using this for my yoga poses often. I think the value for the money and the actual comfortability for the use far outweigh the cons of a bit of squeaking when you downward dog. In the few days that I've had this pad, it's proven to be invaluable. Like many, my primary interest in this pad wasn't for yoga but as a general purpose kneeling pad. A couple decades of professional outdoor work has really done a number on my knees and I can't spend a lot of time kneeling on them like I used to. Having this pad around has been really great. It's allowed me to get to a bunch of different projects that I have been putting off without discomfort. This pad can be used in a folded state which gives it the form factor of a stadium seat (and can be used as such, it even has a similar handle) though it's about half as thick as most stadium pads. In this state it is the most padded and elevated. It's the most comfortable when you're putting a lot of pressure down on your knees. If you need more space or less padding, The haves can fold open doubling your pad length but cutting down your pad thickness. I didn't have any comfort issues when using the pad in the state. It also makes a nice work surface. In both form factors it can also be used as a seat to get you off the ground. In the product copy it mentions it can be used for things like gardening, it can, but I would be hesitant to use it outside too much. The foam isn't particularly abrasion resistant, I'm sure some would object to the stiffness it adds, but I wouldn't have minded a more abrasion resistant nylon fabric to make this more useful in outdoor settings. Something that I can use when operating specially equipment in the backcountry for work without worrying about destroying the pad a few days in. But I can't say I'm disappointed by the performance and comfort it provides in more casual at home environments. I (or rather my knees) feel like you're definitely getting your money's worth of this. For the price point was expecting a more thick and heavy pads. This is very lightweight mat. For a heavier adult person this might not work that well and might not be comfortable. So wouldn’t say that quality of it is anything special, feels like it may sag over the time. Overall I’d prefer just the regular foldable mat, that could be used for the purpose of the knee pads if needed. With this item I guess it might work out for smaller spaces or for those who exclusively need only a pad for knees for the workouts. It is easy to use for abs’ workouts with the roller though. It didn’t have any smell upon arriving and it l is easy to clean, but overall it feels expensive for what it is. Read more
I would say this is a pretty comfortable knee pad overall. It is more comfortable when it is folded, but still bearable when unfolded, at least temporarily. I don't do yoga so I can't speak to that activity, but I like to kneel at my desk sometimes instead of sitting, weird I know lol. Still, this has helped me kneel more comfortably when I want to. My only real complaint would be that the surface material can pull on my leg hair, which can be painful. I suppose that is kind of the purpose of a non-slip pad though lol buuuut why not make one side non-slip and the other side soft? ... I feel like I just had a brain blast with that one. Aside from that, the reported dimensions are slightly off. When folded, the knee pad is just under 17 inches long and just under 12 inches wide (about a quarter inch short on each side) and just under 1 inch thick. I feel like that's a little misleading. Finally, it is not super durable. If something snags on the surface, it will get damaged. Maybe I'm being picky considering the price. It's really not bad but not incredible in my opinion. I would say the price is right (just under $20 USD at the time of this review). Read more
This cushion fits my need. I have very sensitive knees; therefore, it is painful to perform the activities that require knees on the ground if the yoga mat is not thick enough, which most mats are. This cushion adds additional soft layer to protect my knees. It is also helpful to perform plank on my elbows, which experience the same issue as my knees. In the past, I have to fold the mat to add additional support. With this cushion, I don't have to do it again. Read more
