I'll admit I'm biased, as my usual home mat is a rubber Jade and I bring a lighter Hugger Mugger to studios. This mat isn't nearly as grippy or attractive as either of those, picks up dirt a little more easily, and isn't much thinner than a regular discount mat - but it's much cheaper, very light, works fine, cleans easily and the gimmick is real: it will fold up easily to fit into a carry-on suitcase, or in my case slide under the bed of my camper van. It seems reasonably durable but not impervious to damage outside of barefoot yoga- the consistency is similar to EVA foam (like Crocs). I didn't want to mess it up just to test, but have a hunch that if it it were stored with any kind of bend or weight it might hang on to that shape and be difficult to release. There was no offgassing, but if you're buying it for the eco-friendly claims, might want to do a bit more research into how these are made. I didn't know that I'd want to use it as an everyday mat, so the question is really if you personally prefer it for travel over just packing a yoga towel, or using the floor like yogis did for thousands of years.. but it's a perfectly good option if you decide a folding mat is the best fit for your lifestyle. This mat has been great for my light workouts and stretches at home. It’s got nice padding, doesn’t slip around, and folds up easily when I’m done. I use it mostly for Pilates and stretching, and even my toddler likes to lie on it while I’m exercising. It’s easy to clean and waterproof, which makes it super convenient. The only thing is the folding creases — they don’t go away and you can definitely feel them while exercising. It doesn’t really bother me since I’m not a hardcore exerciser, but if you want a perfectly smooth mat, you might want a roll-up style instead. Pros: • Comfortable and non-slip • Folds up easily for storage • Easy to clean and waterproof • Great for light workouts or stretching Cons: • Permanent creases are always noticeable and can be felt during use Overall, this is a comfy, easy-to-store mat that’s perfect for casual workouts. The creases are a tradeoff for the foldable design, but for convenience and quick use, it does the job well. Read more
