Chic and great concept, but has some issues: runs VERY small, with too-long sleeves

This blazer is quite nice in many ways—it has that clean, tailored look you want from a structured piece, yet it’s thin and lightweight. I love that it’s lined… which is a shocking rarity these days… it keeps the fabric from looking cheap or feeling flimsy, and the lining and blazer overall moves comfortably with you. The cut on the WAIST is flattering and shaped to a real woman’s body, which is rare at this price point, and it can’t be tough to find a blazer that isn’t boxy and/or flimsy. However, it has issues: it runs VERY small. If you have any kind of chest, you probably won’t be able to button both buttons comfortably, if even one. This is a mixed bag… it cuts in nicely at the waist because it’s tailored well, but then if you’re a woman with a chest, there’s in turn not enough fabric to cover your front. Recutting it slightly would be a smart move from the makers… more fabric in the front panels while still nipping in at the waist. Worn open, it loses a bit of polish, since the thinner material can’t hold its shape, and it’ll flop in a way that it isn’t designed to do either. Then the sleeves are really too long (and difficult to steam the wrinkles out of… see here, I’ve steamed the wrinkles and folds out of the front, but the sleeves aren’t very cute). So between it being short and tight in front and then having overly long sleeves, it has some significant downsides. Still, the overall design is classic and versatile. You can dress it up for work or pair it with jeans for elevating an easy smart-casual outfit. If you size up, tailor the sleeves, and don’t expect heavy structure, it’s a nice, stylish piece. Very tough to say whether it’s worth the price considering the mixed bag… price some fabric glue for the sleeves into it and then decide for yourself. Read more

Love the diversity

This is a nice blazer for sure. I just need to get the sleeves altered a bit. I like that they fit on my arms as that is usually a problem for me. I will wear it open because it’s a bit snug across my back. The color is nice. The length of the blazer is nice and I love the design of it. You will need to hang it up or steam it cause it is wrinkled when you get it. Read more
