Decent performing usb-C wired earbuds
This is my review of the Five Box USB-C wired headphones from Amazon. These earphones are a terrific entry-level deal. You may wonder, with all of the Bluetooth earbuds out there, why I would want wired headphones. I am finding that my devices and Bluetooth items get paired, sometimes randomly, and then I have to figure out who is paired to what. So, sometimes it is easier to just plug a set of headphones in and go. I do a lot of music-related work like songwriting and recording, and for non-critical music listening, the sound isn’t too bad. My wireless earbuds have better bass, and my studio closed-over-ear phones are the most accurate, but these are fine for on-the-go work, posting video files, and editing. They seem fairly comfortable so far. And I know it is a little thing, but the left and right earpieces are clearly marked. I wouldn't expect much from the microphone. It works for phone calls, but I believe my earbud microphone is clearer. The controls are pretty straightforward. + makes it louder; - makes it softer. Another button answers the call. There is no separate instruction card or sheet, but the instructions are on the package. Overall, I think these are great for their intended purpose. Read more
