Swing out tire carrier bumper should be a factory option from Jeep. With that being said, I purchased this and installed it thanksgiving morning. Installation would be easier with better instructions but it wasn’t super difficult. I have a 33x12.50 R20 spare and it definitely tests the build quality. The plastic roller pad on the latch already broke and keeping it from sagging while closing is a bit of an issue. It does have a secondary lock on the latch to keep it from opening unexpectedly, which is a nice feature. As expected, the spare does block the majority of the backup camera view. I opted to leave the Jerry can box off of it for now. The pods in the bumper work well if you run a jumper to your reverse lights. Save your harness for the tag lights as you will need to cut the oem connectors off and splice with the wiring of the new tag lights. Trailer plug goes back into place perfectly. Read more

The fit is excellent, no additional drilling needed. The metal looks and feels plenty thickj. All of the welds look good. It bolted right up to my Jeep TJ. It looks beefy enough to haul a small trailer and the receiver should be able to handle my motorcycle carrier with my KTM 450 on it. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about a big trailer or big load as the TJ only weights about 3500lb and isn't designed for big hauling. All of the bolts/nuts/washers look grade 8 heavy duty. The rear step is wide enough to stand on without slipping off and busting my shin. A installation note. The inside bolts, 2 on the left, 2 on the right are hard to get to. I wish I could do zero stars. This tire carrier is absolute trash!! It started falling apart about a month after we installed it and could never get a response from the company to remedy the issue. We spent wayyyyy too much money for this pos and now have to take it off so it doesnt fly off while driving. Absolutely terrible product! Read more

I replaced my bumper with a better bumper that is painted and lined with plastic coating on the underside from rust , salt and chemicals. Looks great and has lights that can be wired in to your backup lights for extra visibility at night. Thank you Read more
