Nice and oversized, but you have the waiststrings to pull it in quite a bit if you want more definition. Functional pockets. Inside is sort of a rough flannel material, not the shiny nylon on the outside so it's nice to have something for a little warmth but not too much on the inner part. Read more
This is a very cute burgundy raincoat, and other reviewers seem to have missed that it's a raincoat. It's not thin because it's from Forever 21 and so must be low quality, and it's not shiny because it's cheap - both features are because it's a *raincoat*. It's meant to be waterproof and keep you dry in various temperatures, not to keep you warm all by itself in winter weather. (And F21 actually has some pretty good quality pieces now.) I'm 50, and find it very nice looking for work and college courses, and on the dressy side. It does have a VERY roomy fit! I usually wear a medium in tops, but almost ordered Large, since this brand is known for having a smaller fit. I'm glad a review said it ran larger, because the Medium is still quite big on me. Tightening the interior drawstring helped make it look more like it fits me correctly, but I can still overlap the unfastened front edges by a good 6-8 inches without pulling it tight. At least this will leave space for warm layers underneath! The lining in the arms is a bit less roomy, though, and feels a tiny bit snug when I bend my elbows more than 90°, so thicker sweaters might not work with it. It has a lot of great details: the afore-mentioned interior waist drawstring with matching toggles, adjustable snap straps at wrists, four snap-closure flap pockets on front, matching zipper front closure with snap flap cover, spacious detachable drawstring hood with zipper attachment, and a fairly soft, brushed poly/rayon/cotton lining. The exterior fabric is 100% nylon, and seems to have a slightly rubbery waterproofing on its underside, the scent of which should dissipate with some airing. All of the outward-facing snap covers are a matching burgundy as well. It also has front and back storm shields - the extra pieces of fabric layered over the chest and back, and left unattached at the bottom - though as far as I can tell they're more for style than function. The burgundy color is a little deeper than it looks in the product images, and the material is not quite as shiny in person, but looks much like a typical nylon water-resistant jacket fabric. I got this coat on sale and with an extra percent off, so it was around $11 (!!), and while I do wish it was a bit smaller in the body, I am *very* pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. The one I received appears to be well constructed, too. It'll be very useful for the rainy northern California fall and winter! Read more
This jacket from Forever 21 is a lot more structured than I was imaging. It feels very stiff. I'm hoping a few wears will loosen it up a bit because it sits awkwardly due to the stiffness. I thought about running through the wash but then realized it states hand wash only. Forever 21 isn't exactly known for its quality but this has a cheap look to it that I wasn't expecting. Not something I would order had I seen in person first. Read more

I bought this pretty burgundy coat for my young teenager. She likes the style and the color. I like that its a perfect 3 season coat for where I live. It's nicely lined and attractive with useful pockets, cuffs, and hood. It's water resistant and could be waterproof with an outdoor spray. Read more
It isn't fun when you remove this out of the packaging and instantly a button flies off before you can even try it on. So now I have a missing button an a hole on my brand new jacket. Who know how long it will take for all the other buttons to fall off. It does zip up and button up, so you don't need the buttons but you can see where the button should be. This jacket is thicker than I thought it would be and has a nice lining to it. It has four big pockets on the front that button close. And it has a nice size hood that zips off. Read more
