Great style, not-as-great fit
These are very dramatic pants, just as shown. I love the style, the color pattern, and the shine and flow of the fabric. They're true palazzo pants, with a very wide leg and lots of movement. While I do wish they had real cargo pockets, the "cargo" flaps with long fluttery straps add nicely to the look, as do the upward tucks at the outside of each leg that create more volume and flow. The long self-belt with double D-ring buckle goes well with the style. They're dressy, edgy and eye-catching. I deducted a star because of fit issues. I originally ordered an XL, because another pair of F21 satin pants had been a bit too small in the L, even though the size chart indicates that L should fit me (28" natural waist, 41" hips). The XL was really big in the waistband - if I tightened the belt enough to keep it where it should be on my waist, it bunched noticeably in front at the fly area, and I couldn't fix it by pulling the extra fabric toward the back. The hips were also pretty spacious, but that was fine given the style. I ordered an L instead, expecting a perfect fit, but the L is actually a little more snug in the waistband than I wanted, lol. There shouldn't be such a big difference between two adjacent sizes, F21. The inseam is also REALLY long - I'm 5'5", and these are too long even to wear with 3" boots. I would need to be at least 5'10" to be able to wear these with flats. We all know polyester satin doesn't shrink, so why are these being sized for unusually tall women without being marked as a long size? Because the price was so low (under $9), and I like the style so much, I'm keeping the L since it's closer to fitting correctly, and will hem them shorter. If you're very tall and don't mind risking a too-big or too-small waistband, these might be perfect for you. Read more
