Runs small, even for F21
Update: I just came across this review again while checking to see if XL might be in stock, and noticed that it says I ordered the XL! So I double-checked the tag on the pants, and confirmed it does indeed say L, just as I knew it did. No idea why Amazon's system is lying about which size I ordered. Also, I got a little smaller and tried the pants on again today, and they're almost an acceptable fit now in the hips and thighs, and a little too loose in the waistband, haha. The length is also ridiculously long, which I neglected to mention before - even pulled up to my natural waist, the fabric hangs down over the cuffs so much it completely covers them and looks like a tapered-leg pant rather than a jogger. I'm average height or even slightly tall for a woman-type person - 5'5". F21 seems to believe fashion models are the average, I guess? This cargo jogger pant is a great style, made in a nice rayon-poly-blend fabric which isn't really a satin weave, but has a good weight, a somewhat silky feel and a subtle sheen. Unfortunately, the sizing runs really small. Forever 21's size chart puts me in between their Medium and Large for pants. The F21 cotton velvet wide-leg jogger pants I just got a few days ago fit me well in the Large - a little loosely, even, and even after washing. This pant, I'm very sad to say, is decidedly too small for me in the Large size. I can put them on, but they're a little too tight in the waistband and snug in the hips and upper thighs, which a jogger pant - especially one with no stretch - definitely shouldn't be. I'm at a loss as to why a clothing company would size a non-stretch jogger pant *smaller* than one with a little spandex in it, lol. There's no XL available, so I guess I'll have to just return this one and find a similar style elsewhere. If you decide to order this pant, definitely size up at least one full size.
