The value is good for this 7 port usb hub with one C port charger It is slim and narrow about 4.5" long by 1" wide I have mine plugged into my series x with a headphone dongle and two external hard drives and it is performing well. It is almost weightless it is so lite at first I was not sure anything was in the box. The compatibility aspect I would imagine it is compatible with anything that accepts usb A so there should not be a problem using it with any machine or set up you have. This item is perfect for me. I was struggling to manage the numerous USB devices I use. My main issue was cable length, so I began by looking for an extender but quickly realized I could address each of my issues with a hub. My desktop machine has only a single type A port on the front, and it's located top-front. I'd ended up with two 4 port hubs with short cables daisy chained off that port, and it was absurd. This 8 port hub was reasonably priced, and meets my needs much better. The sockets are widely spaced, allowing for more effective use with odd shaped or oversized plugs. The long cord allows me flexibility in positioning (for now, I'm going to velcro it to the front side of the case), and while it's plugged into that lone front port right now, the longer cord will allow me to transfer it to a rear port when I can rearrange things to get access to the rear case.
