As another reviewer noted, this costume is light but breatheable, which makes it perfect for a racing outfit. As a woman, this costume fit me pretty well- not too loose and with the bottom leg portion being scrunchy material that can expand, it was the perfect height for me and probably most adult males or females. I ran a Thanksgiving 15k canyon trail run in this outfit, and it was definitely a hit- my husband and I posed for many photos for others. I should mention that my husband also ran and he was dressed in a Pilgrim outfit so it was a really cute pair of costumes. Regarding the run, the early part of the morning was pretty cold and it provided some warmth. After completing the full nine miles, I didn't feel overheated in it. The reason I give this 4 instead of five stars, despite it fitting pretty well and holding up overall for my run, is the fact that the back feathers are held up with thin plastic straps that were pretty cheap. The straps run through your arm, and the last mile one side snapped. It was okay and I rigged it so it would last through the rest of the run, but if you are going longer distances for your turkey trot (or maybe the weather will be windy or snowy), I would suggest creating new straps with about $3 worth of some other material from Michaels or Walmart etc. to sew in its place and fortify it. It would have been an easy fix if I had just known beforehand that it would be an issue. For shorter runs or just wearing it to show off your tail feathers on turkey day, this probably won't be needed. Anyway, if you are thinking of getting this for a Turkey trot or parade don't hesitate! It's bound to be a big hit! Read more

I bought this outfit so I could lay on the table during Thanksgiving as a practical joke! It worked perfect. As the ladies were preparing dinner I got dressed up and ran into the dinning room. You can't see the table from the kitchen and our other guests were standing around the counter talking and have a grand time. There was no food on the table yet, so I slide up onto the table and got into position. It was at this time that the suit worked perfectly. As I was sitting there awaiting the ladies to bring in the food for a grand surprise, my large pit bull took notice of me. I had never assumed that our dog would be a hater of large turkeys or no recognize it was me. Just as the wife was bringing in the rolls and a bowl of gravy, Big Donald, that's our dog, went from curious to launch. slinging himself toward me at 100 miles per hour, toppling my wife and the gravy as the rolls flew into the air! My arm was now solidly latched onto and I was yelling for Donald to recognize me, my wife scream and the guests running in to help! I slipped off the table and hit my head on the back of chair. Donald realized it was me and had released me from his grip, I went hurling backward and off the table. The costume was mess the table and floor full of gravy! So why did this work so well? As I was black out for just a few seconds my buddy snapped photos of the event and put them on Facebook! We now have a Thanksgiving story that will last for years and photos that keep reappearing about every late October - early November! Read more
Great costume for fun. I ran a Thanksgiving Day turkey trot 5K in it. It was warm enough (Texas) for just shorts and tshirt underneath for the race. The tail folded back when I was running, but it looked fine. I won first place for turkey costume. I'm 6'1" and the XL just barely fits. Fun costume. I cleaned it up and folded it all back in the original bag to hang in closet until next year. FYI, I wore orange running shoes, so I left the big feet shoe covers off. They would have been difficult to run in. I'll probably few on another shoulder strap to the tail for the next race. It worked and the current little plastic ones didn't break, but I can tell they won't last long for running movement. I was careful putting them on and off. They probably could pull off easily if you're not careful. But I ran with them without incident. Read more
I actually wore this for a Thanksgiving day 5K and was hilarious. It runs big, but I'm fairly small and it still worked. The plastic straps that hold the tail feathers to the arms are flimsy and cheap and broke before I even got the costume on, but that's ok and I'll just make my own straps. Read more
My daughter and I ordered this to run a Turkey Trot. The product was VERY wrinkled, but once you put it on, it's not noticeable. The "tail" was bent so much that it stays bent, ruins the look of the tail. I was hoping for a more colorful tail but it's just brown and tan. Care instructions say this cannot be ironed. I was able to run in the feet, which got very dirty, expected, so I washed them on gentle and they fell apart. Afterwards I saw to not machine wash, oh well. The material of the costume is like that of the cheap kid's pajamas that go up in flames if you get too close to a fire. NOT FLEECE. Repeat: NOT FLEECE. And not felt like another person states. Overpriced for what we got, but we were going for yuks. It was very warm to run in. It was fun though, and people wanted to take their pictures with us. I ran in the feet like I said but don't recommend it, other people will step on them and could cause an accident. WE had to pin the tail to the back of costume to get it to stay up. I would recommend this since the only other way to get the tail to stay up is two thin clear plastic bands that go around your shoulders, and they could snap at any moment. This product is not stretchy either as another reviewer states. Wearing this to a Thanksgiving Day turkey trot was fun, we accomplished what we wanted. Daughter is almost 5'10" and this was the perfect size for her. Read more
