My wife is forever complaining about her pillow for a number of reasons, not the least of which being that it hurts her neck. She'll probably complain about this one in the future but so far she loves it. It's comfortable, well made and most importantly does a great job supporting and protecting the neck while she's asleep. It's nice and firm, no sketchy smells and can accommodate sleeping in any position. I got a larger one for my own use--I don't have neck problems but it's still a very comfortable pillow! I can’t understand why this pillow is worth $150. I have purchased much cheaper orthopedic pillows at my COSTCO that are more supportive. It is nothing more than a soft flat pillow. There is no way to fluff it up for more support. This is not an orthopedic pillow. My grandkids are using it as a floor pillow to watch TV. They told me it isn’t comfortable. I would not order this pillow again, and sorry I ordered it the first time. Read more
This pillow took awhile for me to get used to. I normally sleep with large pillows and like for my head to be more elevated, but sometimes I wake up with a sore neck. So I decided to try this one out to see if it would help. It was a bit of an adjustment to get used to sleeping with it but now I like it. The pillow does a good job of supporting the neck and keeping it in a good position. It’s soft and comes with a pillow cover. It’s not much pillow for the money, but it’s a high standard of quality. I can tell laying on it that it’s not just a polyfill pillow with a dent, but a deceptively refined and carefully crafted pillow in the familiar polyfill style. I’ve tried all kinds of foam pillows, I have pillows with gel, I’ve used polyfill pillows of various grades, from the flattest, lumpiest $4 ones to some really nice Ralph Lauren ones, and this Fossflakes pillow is in its own league. The fill is superb. It has down-like qualities missing in normal polyfill. It’s priced the same as my fanciest gel pillow, with none of the obvious gimmicks. It gives a pleasant and restful sleep when used on its own. I can feel it’s a Danish pillow, it has that European vacation energy. I like that. What I don’t like is it’s so flat. I like the dent and I want it deeper. I’ve been curling a blanket under the three sides to give it more of a pocket. It has versatility as is, but misses the sweet spot. I find it absurd that the listing suggests this for side sleepers. The depth measurements are nowhere close, it squishes to practically nothing. The experience getting this pillow would be improved by more communication from the company in the listing and in the package. What arrived was a lot smaller than what I expected, even though it fills a normal pillowcase. It doesn’t come with any information from the company about what makes their pillow special. The communication is too lean for such a portly price. There’s nothing telling me whether this is a company so confident in its product it doesn’t need to explain itself, or a company unable to explain itself because it is bluffing. The product has potential, but the experience of getting this product is far from refined. It has the ‘that’s it?’ feeling that sometimes comes when buying a luxury brand. If this is $150 worth of pillow, include a booklet or something that teaches me why. Read more
The first 3 minutes of using this neck pillow felt great, but then the "unique flossflakes filling" started compressing and there was no longer any neck support at all. Out of the last 3 neck support pillows for side sleepers that I've tried, this one offered the least support. * It did NOT maintain its shape or loft throughout the night - it started flattening within a few minutes. * Because the fibers compressed and flattened, this pillow did NOT support the natural curve of my neck, nor did it provide me with a restful night's sleep. This is a wedged-shaped pillow, thicker on one end than the other, with some stitching in the center. It comes with a pillow case and a protective carrying case. There is nothing quite so special about this pillow to justify the price as the value simple isn't there, not even if offered for 1/6th the price. Read more
