Well made for the price point, ..works perfectly with vehicle HUD!

I'm reviewing these at their price point, and not comparing them with $50-200 sunglasses. For under $17, I found these sunglasses well made with a sturdy frame and the non-polarizing lenses are clear and do not distort at all like some low priced sunglasses do. The fit was ok, not perfect, but, they can gently be bent a bit to change the contour as well as how snug the ear rests grip to hold them in place. Be warned, this is a gentle and subtle process, similar to what your Optometrist will do for your Rx glasses. All vehicle HUDs (Heads-Up-Displays on windshield) use a polarization process to project the information on the glass and polarized sunglasses will cancel out this effect making the HUD information faint or totally impossible to see. The only option is to use a pair of non-polarized sunglasses for driving if you want to use your vehicle HUD. I only use my HUD for extended trips and typically interstate use only so this pair of Foster-Grants will not be used full time. For the purpose of driving while using a HUD and with reasonable tint to block glare, these should work fine if used in my vehicle only during travel. For all other occasions, I'll continue to use one of three pairs of polarized sunglasses, especially for Winter use when the sun's glare on snow will be too extreme for anything less then a dark tint polarized sunglass. (My HUD is normally OFF other then for long interstate trips). At about $17 for these Foster Grants, they work well and serve their purpose at a very reasonable price. Be sure to use a soft or hard case for these to protect the plastic lenses. To be fair, other brands often include some type of case, even a cheap one so do that into consideration for the total cost of these Sunglasses. Read more

I wear these at night, so I can keep track of the visions in my eyes.

I had picked up a pair of these from a major retailer and loved them, and then they got lost somewhere. It's hard finding a cheap pair of sunglasses that look okay on me because I have the head of a large wildebeest. Anyhow, I found these on here and snagged them up. My only gripe with them is that the part that goes over the ear is attached poorly to the metal arms. Mine got loose and came apart 2-3 weeks after purchase. However, a bit of super glue fixed that right up. They are light weight, have good clarity, and make me look damn sexy. I'd buy them again if I lost these, again. Read more

Broken nose piece

These were decent for a lower price point, but I expected some quality from the Foster Grant name. One side of the nose piece broke loose from the lens in the middle of a trip from minimal pressures in my bag. There was no impact or anything, just a cheaply attached metal connection. Now i'm back in the market for some non-polarized aviation sunglasses. Read more
