Not bad for the price!

w.c.March 6, 2026

The headset is pretty decent. The build is what you would expect at this price point. It’s plasticky and a little hollow but it is nicely textured to the touch. The mic is decently built too. There is enough movement to accommodate the use of the mic and you can also bend it to adjust. The headphone cups are pretty standard. There are no hinges that could help fit and adjust the cups to your ears but the foam is adequate enough to help the headset stay on your head. The headset is also kind of tight, but I have a pretty big head. There’s cord is almost 5 feet long and between that there’s a mute and volume control. The cord is also hardwired to the headset so it’s not replaceable. On the other end, the cords themselves seem splits into to 2 outputs. One is usb and the other is a 3.5 mm jack. They also included a 3.5 splitter so you could use it on your pc that only accepts a separate headphone and mic inputs. As for the sound quality, using the usb port will take advantage of the built-in Dsp. The function is alright. It’s not built for audiophiles. It does help with spatializing the game environment so things that are in front sound like they are in front and things that are from behind actually sounds like they are coming from behind. The rep though seems to be equalized leaning more to the low end, so it is more bass heavy. It also seems to bring out the voices more which is great for games but not so much for movies or music, so keep that in mind when using this headset. Using the 3.5 jack is also pretty decent but it feels a little underpowered given that these have a 50mm driver. My PC has a built in amp on the headphone jack so it sounded much better, but on my laptop that only has a standard jack, it really felt anemic and underpowered. They do sound much better for music and movies when using the 3.5 jack as you could customize the equalizer. On my pc with the built in amp, these do sound really good for the price. It can actually go pretty low on the bass and it sounds pretty good. Without an amp, the bass is muddled and it can’t really get that low. Like there was only one level for bass so any bass will just hit that note lol. Overall, it’s pretty good for the price. It gets the job done. But if you really want to see what the headphones could do, I suggest you use the 3.5mm jack with the headphone adequately powered with an amp. Read more

Love everything about this headset especially the mute button and volume controls on cord

catMarch 9, 2026

I really love these FOXXRAY gaming headphones. I have already used this gaming headset with multiple gaming consoles and devices. I have had perfect sound quality with each one. They function just as promised. I tried to find just one thing that my last gaming headset had that these didn’t, or something I wish was different with this pair, and I honestly could not find a single thing to mention. The two most important things for me when choosing a pair of headphones are being able to hear audio clearly and for people to be able to hear me clearly through the microphone. Not only do these headphones have crystal-clear sound quality, but they also have noise cancellation, which means I rarely hear background noise while gaming with them on. I play a lot of basketball online, specifically NBA 2K26 on my PS5 against or with my friends. My friends have all said that the microphone quality on this set is substantially better than the last (expensive) pair I had. The previous gaming headset I was using had a loud, annoying, static-like sound. The minute I started using this pair, my friends could tell immediately that I had a new gaming headset - without me even telling them. My previous pair was a well-known (expensive) pair - I won’t mention the brand here. I couldn’t believe the difference. You would think that the more expensive pair would perform better than the pair that offered much more value for my money. When I first received these headphones, I was impressed with how perfectly they fit my head. The headband is adjustable, and I can see these headphones fitting anyone’s head. I actually love how light they are. Other people equated the lightness with cheap quality and questioned their long-term durability. Lightweight headphones are actually a huge plus for me. I don’t believe lightness has anything to do with quality or durability. Older headphones used to be huge, clunky, and heavy. Headphones have become lighter over time. Having a heavy pair of headphones on my head all day causes my neck to hurt. I was grateful to find such a lightweight pair that I could wear all day with minimal neck strain. I actually prefer a light plastic body on a gaming headset, unlike what others have commented. After I put the pair on my head and adjusted the microphone into position, I could immediately feel the difference in weight compared to my last pair. I like the sleek, white, clean look and the less cumbersome feel this pair has. The design itself is modern. This pair has a blue backlight that emits from the ear area. The softness of the ear cushions makes a big difference for my ears. The material is a mesh-like fabric that is easy to clean and repels cat hair. You can tell the company cared about the presentation of the headphones - they come in a secure box with a well-thought-out design. The best feature, at least for me, that I didn’t have on other headphones is the mute button and the volume control on the cord itself. Having the controls on the cord allows me to adjust the volume instantly instead of wasting time feeling for the controls. On my previous headset, the dial was under the earcup, so I could only find the volume dial “by feel” - I could not see it. This is an important difference while trying to play a game. I no longer have to fumble with a sound dial under my ear. This pair was a great value for the money. They were so easy to use - just plug and play. There is no software or complicated app that I needed to install. I didn’t expect them to behave like a high-end pair, but they come close. I have had expensive headphones that stopped working correctly within a year. Their internal wires would come loose, and loud static would be the result. My friends would complain that they couldn’t hear me. With this pair, if that happens down the road, it won’t sting as much to have to buy a replacement pair. I like everything about this gaming headset - the sleek look, the modern design, the clean white color, the ear and head comfort, and even the lightweight feel. The adjustable headband does not pull my long hair when I put the pair on or when I take them off. I like how they feel on my head and over my ears. I appreciate that I can use this set on different devices. 5 out of 5 starts. If something changes or of something goes wrong I will come back and edit my review. Decent Budget Headset – Comfortable for Long Sessions, But Lacks Bass

JustinMarch 19, 2026

The overall feel of this headset isn't what you'd call premium, but it's adequate and matches the value — or price to performance ratio — decently well. The mic for me has not worked well. Many complain that it sounds like an electronic feedback loop, almost as if it's not plugged in all the way. The sound isn't anywhere close to a premium or high priced headset, and in my opinion lacks a lot of bass. The treble and vocals sound alright though. For the price I think this set is good. I love the cord with the controls on it and I used it often. The headset is not uncomfortable and I successfully wore it for multiple days 6+ hour sessions without issue. It goes over your ear, not on your ear, and caused me no fatigue. It's lightweight and after a bit I hardly noticed it on my head. Lack of noise cancellation is a minor complaint but not to be expected on this set. Pros I like: • Very comfortable for long wear (6+ hour sessions, no fatigue) • Over-ear design (not on-ear) — no pressure or pain • Lightweight — barely noticeable after a while • Inline cord controls are handy and reliable • Good treble/vocals for the price Cons/Notes: • Mic sounds poor (feedback loop, like not plugged in) • Lacks bass — sound is thin overall • Not premium feel or build Read more
