These fr rated balaclavas are really great. They are a bit heavy for summer use in my opinion but they which well, breathe well, and are comfortable. The fabric itself feels higher quality than many of my other balaclavas. The fit is perfect for myself and I love using these at night while on the mountain. Excellent for electrical work that requires fr rated gear but no arc rating from what I can see. Great head cover for firefighters, welders, hunters, riders of the cycle, etc. Very warm. Too warm for direct sun imo but perfect for when things start cooling off and they effectively take the bite out of the night. They also look and feel great on the head. This is actually my second set of these balaclavas, but in different colors. These are high quality balaclavas that work great in warmer weather. They are a mesh type of material that is very comfortable to wear. The mesh also means that they breathe fairly well too. You can wear them several different ways and I don't have to adjust them very often, like some others I own. They are more spendy than some, but I think they are totally worth it. I highly recommend. These are quality balaclavas, with soft, comfortable, breathable fabric. The stitching is even and secure with no unfinished edges. It doesn't say this in the ad, but the design is such that the two pieces that overlap to cover your ears can be separated to allow access to your ears. This makes it very convenient to put in and remove earplugs or audio earbuds without removing the balaclava. Most importantly, this one size fits all garment actually fits me comfortably. Most balaclavas I've tried are too tight, especially over the mouth, but this fits perfectly.
