I bought this thinking it would be like other pre-shave lotions or splashes, but this stuff REALLY helps with irritation/razor bumps (especially after a new blade head) and helps the razor (I am using the Freebird model.... uhhh. I forget which one. The one with 5 heads on it. Anyway, I wet my head slightly, then pump the bottle of gel 2 times, rum it all over (especially my neck, where my skin always breaks out) and the razor glides across my skin so smoothly. I highly recommend this product. Only complaint is that I wish they had a larger bottle, as I go through one of these in a month or less since I shave my head everyday. Anyway, check it out. I love this stuff, truly. However, the price is way too high for such a small bottle that really doesn’t last that long. I only shave once per week because of my sensitive skin, and even with minimal shaving, one bottle lasted less than a month. The directions say to use a dime sized amount, but for it to actually be effective, you need about 10 pumps which ends up being about the size of a quarter. The sandalwood scent is very nice and soothing. I want to give more than three stars, but the value for amount is just not good at all. Further, Freebird as a company is predatory, so don’t buy direct - they signed me up for TWO subscriptions when I consented to nothing, then used my card info to continue to charge and send things I never ordered. They only refunded a small amount “for the inconvenience” and I ended up having to dispute charges with my bank, and literally change my card number so they’d stop charging me. (Don’t bother with their razor either - it’s no better than any other - in fact I found it to be worse as the blades rip my hair out and have actually cut my neck.
