Good cameras. Install took less than an hour for my type F with back window camera on a 2024 Ram limited megacab. I didn’t hook up the GPS antenna for the location and speed. The instructions say mount to the dash. I am sure you can probably stick it to the top of the windshield. I have ceramic tint on my windshield and didn’t want anything stuck to it. FYI, for others installing. If you use CarPlay turn off your Bluetooth. The CarPlay will boot you off the wifi for the camera. Also, make sure your phone didn’t connect to your home WiFi first. This is for the app functionality. It will still record to the card if you are using CarPlay. This camera only works when the truck is on. Almost made this to 5 stars if the T-Cable is longer to properly route the cable in place. The audio announcement should have On/OFF option instead of turning down the volume and missed important notification. The fitment otherwise is great and the installation is a bit difficult. I went back and forth in this for quite a while. I love the fact that if you’re not looking, you won’t notice this. It does its job. Let’s be real, if you don’t have a dashcam what are you doing with your life? Stoy time. One day I was driving to go get some batteries. Going from San Bernardino to Los Angeles. Imaging my surprise When I get to Los Angeles and get out of my truck, only to find the rear panel of my truck and taillight was caved in. Oh man, had I fallen asleep? Did I hit lemons and not know it, did someone hit me? How does this happen? I check the dashcam footage to absolutely no vehicles hitting me. So I thought. Once I had time to look at the footage in a computer screen I discovered what happened. A Sysco food truck side door had flung open at me on the highway doing 65+. If it had been a little earlier it would have smashed my windshield and my face. However, I got lucky and all that happened was it hit the back of my truck. But It was so quick I had no idea Anything had happened. Long story short, after CHP Got involved they decided to pay for the repairs to my truck. If i had not had that dash cam…at a minimum, that would have been 5 grand out of my pocket to fix Someone else’s careless mistake. Anyway, get the dashcam. It works : Read more

I had ordered the same camera for my car with no problems installing and it works great I decided to order this for my ram. Camera looks great as my car the base of this doesn’t fit my ram at all! With the wires they give you very tight fitting and i just cant install this very disappointing. Read more
