Front 4K Rear 1080p Dash Cam Custom fit for Toyota Highlander Hybrid Gen4 UX70 2020 2021 2022 2023

Got model B, 4k front with 1080p back for a 2017 Highlander Platinum. Install of front was easy using the video through their app, just watch out when clicking through their website to get the app that you don’t do what I did and click on a banner instead that asks for credit card info to register... very sketchy. They don’t provide a video for installing the rear (as far as I saw). Doing it right is tricky, but there is a good video on YouTube by ‘Fix It Scotty’. It is for the Gen4 Highlander, but was close enough for my Gen3. Two main things: place cord behind air bags and fish it through the rubber wire wrap of the back hatch or you will have a lot ugly and annoying slack wire. The rear camera has a rotation to allow it to point inside or out. I thought it would be controllable through the app, but it is manual and you need to choose one as the other will be upside down when rotated. I am disappointed with the 4k resolution, looking at their images I thought it would be massively better. In practice, it is only slightly better than 1080p (make out license plates at ~2 car lengths instead of ~1). The app for seeing the videos is good, not as glitchy as Garmin’s. One strange thing is it generates short loop videos (1-3min) instead of full trip clips the Garmin app did. Probably the better approach for manageable video sizes. Overall, I recommend. The fit of the front camera is outstanding truly OEM-like. The app is solid. The rear camera is ok — it is clearly not OEM-like, but with a tricky install can minimize the loose wire down to an inch or so. Read more

The front camera replaced an existing OEM cover and blends in with the vehicle such that nobody notices the camera with a casual look. The back camera wire was easy to route and installation was pretty simple, front and rear. The app worked fine and the image quality is quite good. The only minor issue is the camera doesn't operate when the vehicle is turned off so unattended parking lot accidents will not be captured. Read more

I purchased the unit with front and rear-view cameras. Installing the front camera was a breeze - online instructions/video very clear. The rear-view camera was a bit more complicated but that isn't the company's fault - it's just a pain to run the cable above the roof liner. I like the camera's features a lot! I wish there were an easier interface that didn't require you to open wifi settings and sign on to the camera's wifi signal to access the camera, but I see this arrangement with other devices as well. As far as I can tell, the camera works very well, automatically begins recording (and gives you an announcement) when you turn on the car. The features listed for this camera are excellent. Installed a Mangoal in my '24 Rav4 and so please bought another for my '23 Highlander. Same mechanical installation for both in under 15 minutes. Same software on phone accesses both cameras using separate wifi addresses. The '23 took a while to connect because for some reason the Auto Android had to be deactivated to connect to camera while the '24 would auto deactivate and reconnect. This situation has to do with the hardware setup in some vehicles and was addressed in an addendum sheet to the instruction manual and as stated the driver would not be using both wifi connections at the same time anyway. Love this camera. Totally fits and operates like OEM. Camera files generate every minute when car turns on. Doesn't record when car is off, that I've found. Video is very clear couple off buttons allow you to snap picture on demand. Connection has been really good. No issues. I'm picky, but I recommend this product. Read more

The setup & install was straightforward. The instructions are easy to follow. It blends in, unnoticeable by most. Looks like it came from the factory. The rear camera was easy to setup as well. You have more than enough worrying to install everything. One week after I installed my cameras someone tried to accuse me of hitting & damaging their motorcycle. Was making a huge scene. When I told him I didn't be didn't care. When I showed him my rear camera he changed his tune. When I showed him the footage (which he didn't want to watch) on the spot he walked away.
