It's pretty good. If you want it icey you have to eat it as soon as the machine beeps and it's cold, tastes like soft serve. If it goes even 20 mins past- the consistency changes and it's more whipped like whip cream and less flavorful. Also, the instructions on the bag are to mix the entire bag in a large machine. If using a smaller countertop icecream maker, do the math for ounces or grams. Read more

Its 1 cup powder 3 cup liquid ratio..i tried 1 cup powder and 3 cup whole milk, and ive tried 1 cup powder 1 cup heavy cream and 2 cup milk which made it it thicker and smoother. I have made this four different ways now and finally found the sweet spot. First, I have a Whynter compressor model ice cream maker so I do not have to chill any containers. The first time Imade this, I used 1 cup mix with 4 cups of heavy cream. The ice cream churned up to be very thick and kind of chewy. So, the next time I made it, I used 1 cup mix and 4 cups whole milk, but the texture was more like ice milk. This time, I used 1 cup mix with 2 cups whole milk and 2 cups heavy cream; and the fourth time I used 1 cup mix to 4 cups of half and half. The third time was the charm, so I recommend 1 cup mix to 2 cups heavy cream and 2 cups whole milk because it is the right consistency and texture. It took 50 minutes to freeze in my Whynter. Also, I put about a teaspoon of homemade vanilla in so it would kick up the vanilla flavor. The ratio of 1 cup mix to 4 cups liquid is just right to fit my ice cream maker’s pail without spilling over the top. It’s very easy to make ice cream with this mix. I like to eat it with a few amarena cherries and their syrup on top. It’s not overly sweet and tastes good. Read more

I've only tried it once so far so I'll reevaluate when needed. I have the Ninja Slushie machine that can make milkshakes, etc. I adjusted the recipe using one of the reviewers recommendations, however, that was not a good idea. I added half heavy cream/half milk. It came out like chocolate cool whip. I'll make some adjustments and try again because the flavor of the mix was actually very good. Read more
