No problem when I let frozen strawberries thaw for 10 minutes and frozen bananas thaw for 5 minutes. DELICIOUS! Clean up was easy. Read more

I was skeptical when I ordered this, but it's pretty amazing. It's a lot heavier and sturdier feeling than I was expecting, and it works GREAT. You do have to make sure whatever frozen fruit you're using is partially thawed if you want the texture to come out right, but with a little attention and care to that balance, it really does make something very similar in texture to softserve, from nothing more than fruit! So far we've put frozen strawberries and mangos through it, and both came out perfectly. It ground them up nice and smooth and soft, no lumps. We experimented with adding some chocolate syrup in with the strawberries while it was grinding, and that worked well too, and tasted pretty darn good. It's really easy to set up, really easy to clean (most everything comes out with a good rinsing if you clean it promptly after using), and just amazing to have when you want a delicious cold treat on a hot day without reaching for the actual ice cream. I especially like the format where you just feed the frozen fruit into the chute, instead of having a chamber or bowl that you have to fill that limits batch capacity. No need to do the fill, blend, empty, fill, blend, empty thing if you want to make a lot. This gives it a big edge over a blender or food processer in my opinion. You're also able to get a firmer and more scoop-able end result than with most blenders or food processers, those usually require the mixture to be more liquid (like smoothie or milkshake texture) to effectively blend everything. My kids will eat a lot more fruit this way. Excellent value. Honestly didn't expect it to work this well for the price. Very impressed. Read more
This is a super fun little addition to our KitchenAid mixer. We really like throwing in some frozen fruit and just making a sorbet or whatever you would call it. I haven't even read the instructions yet because it was so simple to use. Overall, we really love it and are very happy with it. Read more
I put in frozen blueberries, left them out for 10 minutes per directions, added in some fresh, but got an icey mess, very noisy as well, poor consistency, tasted like frozen blueberry color but no real good blueberry taste. Not worth the money. Read more
