Perfect for a first time user! So far we have washed them a few times and they are holding up, the material is on the thicker side. My daughter has eczema so it was important for both of us that they feel soft and they do. I will be purchasing them again. The only thing I could come up with on a possible negative side is they slide over top your head, they don't have hooks in the back like an adult bra. Although not a problem for us, I didn't want her to start and get confused or discouraged.. I guess there's also the possibility of messing up your hair too.
