Holy Moly! I pulled these gorgeous red boots out of the box and slipped them on and oooolala. They are made with such great detail and so comfortable. I have not worn a heel in so many years and loved wearing high heels my whole life. I , at least, feel like a fluffy ball of femininity. I jumped right on line to order a different color. It does not even attack my bunion. I was taken aback with the price, but could not resist the red, and now know I will be wearing these for a long time. I am not a youngster, but wow do I feel like I am styling in these boots. I ordered an 11 and that is my normal size. I like that there are no zippers! Ann D Read more

I chose this Chelsea boot because it's narrower and more feminine than the Blundstone, which I've had as well. Blundstones are well made but the wider toe box aesthetic can seem clunky --though to many this is appealing. I've had several pair of Frye boots over a period of 40 years ! I predict these boots, like my others, are made to last a long time. The boot is cut low but is a bit higher than Blundstone. Because the boot is slightly higher, the leather sheeting, top front, where the foot joins the ankle and lower calf, quickly developes creases. In spite of this, boot retains a streamlined feminine look that flatters the leg in slacks or skirts. The stitched areas were done with accuracy. The boot is slightly more open at the top, making it easier to get on and off than blundstones. The higher heel is more flattering—if that matters Read more

Frye is always a tight fit for me because I have a wide foot I have to go a half size up. That being said the 6.5 (half size up) fits me great. I'm worried about the insole being so rock hard, but I'm going to get a thin insole to help with that. I may have to get them stretched a bit just to fit a thin insole, but it will be worth it because I love the look of these shoes! I think the tanned leather ones are incredibly over priced, but these suede ones are about right. UPDATE (almost 2 months later) : These boots are way more comfortable than I expected them to be! I can stand/walk in them for hours without my feet hurting. They have stretched nicely with wear for my wide feet also. They're my favorite boots!! Read more

I received used, worn boots. They are worn in, wrinkled and the insides have indentations from someone else’s foot. They have dirt and drips of something on the outside. They have a large lump or ridge that pokes my arches. I thought something was bunched up in the boot, but it is just the way they are made. They seem like cute boots, but are poorly constructed. $400 boots should be a lot nicer than this. Read more

I’m all about buying products made here especially if they are amazing quality and fit. Completely worth every penny and you will have them in your wardrobe for a long time. No breaking in time needed and I have temperamental feet who are used to Birkies. I have a slightly wider foot and this have plenty of room even for a thicker sock. They can be worn casually or dress them up. I’m eyeing a brown pair now😬 Read more

I own several pairs of FRYE boots and have consistently worn a 7.5. I needed to return these for an 8! Hoping they fit! Read more

I am a size 6 and ordered a size 6, it seemed as if my left boot was bigger than the right, they ran a little large on my feet overall. Then I ordered a size 5.5 to see of that would fit better and they were too small. These boots are not made for walking, at least not for me, well made and good looking but big, bulky and uncomfortable. Read more

I really wanted to like these boots. They are a great look. The right boot fit perfectly. The left boot didn't fit at all - narrower, and the heel didn't sit flat on the floor- it sorts of rocked. It seemed like the two boots were not part of a pair. I wore these boots for about an hour inside the house, and it's telling that when you take a pair of shoes off and your feet are happier - well it means one thing - send em back. Curious that a $375 pair of boots would have this kind of quality control issues. And from Frye - which is one of my favorite brands. Hopefully, others don't have similar issues. Read more
