I'm recovering from a distal fracture of the tibia and this is providing the extra support I needed as I've started putting weight on my foot again. The cane is very lightweight and sturdy. This is a good cane but with my husband being a taller and bigger guy I find this not to be a sturdy foldable cane compared to the wooden cane Someone of average height and weight I feel would be great for them . Does adjust to different heights and folds very easy . Looks of it is a more casual everyday use . Sturdiness for my husband I feel isn’t there as him being a taller bigger guy . Read more
I bought this cane for a vacation with friends in Oregon. I flew from Ohio and back and had a busy week of everything from whale spotting tours to fancy dinners. My main goal was to have something for peace of mind that I could carry and engage in long airport walks and random pop up needs throughout my trip. This was perfect! Well made, sturdy, lightweight but trustworthy. Easy and quick to open and close up too. Good handle. My personal reasons for having are multiple, from just encouraging myself to walk more slowly and carefully, helping with standing in line (like airport security) and when my back issues take a toll and I am in need of a little extra help with strength and balance. This was a wonderful purchase. I have weakness due to nerve damage after a biopsy. Thankfully, it was benign and is getting better, but I am not fully stable on my feet. This cane is exactly what I need for temporary stability and support. The cane came packaged in a nylon bag and impressively folds up into four pieces with the handle over three of them, and a separate piece slides on the bottom end to hold them together while in the bag. It also has a twist-lock mechanism to keep it steady. I will use it both at home and while out and about until I feel more steady on my feet. What I love about it most, however, is that it is thin and lightweight, so when I am out doing errands, it will fit into the driver's side "pocket" of the door, and in 2-3 seconds it expands. I viewed many canes and wanted one with a bag or other container. This one meets my needs in every respect, and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a little extra support while walking.
