Although this lighter feels cheap, it works. The lighter was very easy to use. I had no problem lighting-- one click everytime. The long stem makes lighting the fire place a lot easier. My 8 year old can use it to light candles. I also love that I can see the fuel level. I know how much fuel I have. I can even adjust the flame size too. This will come in handy when it's windy outside or drafty in the chimney. I have seen my share of lighters in a ton of colors. I like this red and black as long as it works. I bought it to refill. The fuel cell is smaller than my name brand lighter, but the name brand isn't refillable. When the time for refill comes, I'll update on how it went. The parts feel cheaper so I will do my best to avoid dropping it. This was a great value for three longer stem lighters. Read more

The trigger that releases the gas cannot be squeezed. The directions gives no clue as to how to get a flame started at the tip. Regardless of how hard the trigger is pulled, it won't move and therefore no gas is released. The trigger simply stays in a locked position when squeezed and the directions give no clue of how to get the trigger to move to allow trigger action.
