We gave it to him while we were visiting Hersheypark, right before heading into the park, and it instantly made the day even more magical. He was immediately drawn to it—the size is just right for little hands, the design is adorable, and it was easy for him to interact with without getting frustrated. It kept him entertained while we walked around and became “his toy” for the entire trip. He even insisted on bringing it with him everywhere that day. The second we saw a Reese’s Furby pop up on the page we knew he had to come home and join our Furby collection. Match our favorite candy to one of our favorite collectibles, yes please! He’s as adorable as we hoped. Let’s look at him as a product. We only have original Furbys, not the various incarnations since. So he’s smaller than the vintage special editions, and even smaller than the Furby Babies, but he’s more unique in this day and age. We just love his peanut butter cup ears, which are thicker than they look in pictures, so it really looks like a bite taken out. The plastic cup that he sits in is authentic in shape and color, it’s just weird that you have to snap it together. They made the box so narrow, the full diameter won’t fit, so you will find the cup in two pieces in the box. Little Furby is plush over plastic body, feet, ears, and faceplate with un-closable eyes, felt logo, and a tuft of long troll hair. The batteries are already installed, so he began jabbering as soon as we pushed something. How fun to hear Furbish again! The destruction booklet is very poor. It basically just points out that something will happen if you push his head, the heart button, or the mouth. But it doesn’t explain how to operate him to make him do any particular thing. You just have to push stuff, play with it, and figure it out. Maybe kids will, 1) do better with it than us old farts, or 2) get bored with it because it’s too simple. We’d take off a point for the playability, but we got it for the collector’s aspect and the theme, so we’ll give him a 5. Read more
