It is thick and has a lot of fold over fabric to accommodate for even the biggest of heads, both me and my 7 year old son can use it. It is warm and the fabric seems like it won’t fray or pill for quite some time (will update at the end of the Minnesota winter). Took an Alaska cruise in late August; the weather is unpredictable and can be quite chilly on some days and relatively mild on others. I live in SoCal, and I no longer own warm clothing.
