I've bought this exact product over and over, unable to find it in stores, digging through ebay at times, because it's a total game-changer with the comfort and pad for your palm. Note that they are black, not grey, and unfortunately for me that means I keep losing them. But yeah, this is great for hypermobility or whatever issues you're having with your wrist. I've got a combination of this and finger splints for my hypermobile finger joints. Now I can type without pain, brace comfortably until I can see a chiropractor, etc. I also have sensory issues and this one doesn't have anything scratchy against my skin :) I get the L/XL size and it fits even with plus-sized forearms and big bone wrists. I love this brand!! My right wrist has been hurting recently and I thought I had a right wrist brace. Nope! I have 2 left braces lol. Both of those are Futuro and I’ve had them for a while! I don’t really have large hands and wrists but this brace in L/XL fits perfectly! This brace gives me just the right amount of support while still allowing me to use my hand. These braces are very comfortable to sleep in to. Sometimes I end up sleeping with my wrist is awkward positions so comfort while I sleep is a must! I love that the metal support rod is removable so you can wash it with ease. I know I’ll be buying again in the future. Thanks Futuro!! Read more
At first, this gave my wrist excellent support while still allowing me to use my hand. Since the velcro flaps are thin and flat, the bottom doesn't end up being lumpy or catching on things when I use my computer, like competitor's products have. But, after wearing for an hour or so, I started having some new pain near the base of my thumb. The way the circular gel pad on the inside sticks out and the size of the thumb hole seems to put excess pressure there and so I think it's something about the way my hand is shaped that just doesn't fit well with this design. Note on sizing: I originally tried the small/medium size because my wrist is exactly on the midpoint between sizes - definitely go for the size up if you are close. Read more
Very sturdy. Definitely helps reduce the wrist pain. I’m wearing them day & night for my carpel tunnel. Read more
This is quite comfortable, even to wear all day or while sleeping. It stabilizes and supports while I can still use my hand without interference. Read more
I bought this because of an old wrist injury that has come back to haunt me. I tried a wrist brace without the metal bar in it and it worked for a little while but it still hurt. I bought this one and have been wearing it ever since, about three months now. I wear it to bed everynight and most of the time during the day. Easy to care for by sliding the metal bar out and hand washing the brace and allowing to dry. Because the metal bar goes to the middle of the palm, it makes gripping some things somewhat difficult but it's worth the trade if it makes the wrist feel better. It especially helps when I am using the computer and doing keyboard stuff. Bottom line, YES I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN. and may buy another just for a spare. Read more
If you suddenly find your hands crippled, as I did, and you don't believe that Osteoarthritis can knock you down quite that quickly, then you might want to consider wearing wrist braces such as this one to help keep your wrists supported at night, reducing the pain and discomfort of CTS. After my doctor diagnosed my problem, I was sent out to search for wrist braces for both my wrists, and that is not an easy thing to find in my small town. The single old-time drug store in my town had a variety of braces, and the Futuro ones were by far the most comfortable. They are soft neoprene (think wet-suit material), with no rubbing edges. The first time you put them on, there are a couple of simple Velcro adjustments to make (for size), and then you can slip them off and one like a glove, with one Velcroed strap to tighten them. The store had other braces, but many required multiple adjustments every time you put them on, and had rough seams that I knew would be uncomfortable while sleeping. These come in S/M and L/XL, with right or left-handedness. My hands measure about 6.75 inches around the knuckles, and I found that the L/XL was most comfortable. (With smaller hands, you will need to go down.) The store I visited had only a left hand in this size, so I was delighted to find the right hand on Amazon, and for half the price. Read more
3M quality has gone down hill. I've used these braces for years. Through all the little design changes and the shrinking sizing. Originally I used the medium but they kept getting smaller now I have to get the L/XL AND IT BARELY FITS! There is only a quarter inch of the center strap holding. I'm switching to another brand.
