Very good product, better then most known brands.

They didn't murk up my water at all, used them in a fish in and a fishless cycle. I keep Blue Diamond A Grade Neocardiana shrimp and they are unaffected. The plant growth is great! Amazon swords have shown new growth( atleast 1-2" of growth in 1-2weeks) and my dwarf hair grass has deeper darker coloring.(much healthier than before.) Tabs were true sinking tabs and were good quality and easy to use. Read more

Price and quality can't be beat!

FZONE root tabs are the best root tabs I've used thus far! FZONE uses clay and soil based fertilizers which are safer for aquatic life. Popular pet store companies like API use ammonia based fertilizers which can spike levels in your water. FZONE is a great company to deal with you won't regret your purchase. Read more

Yes, these do work!

Pros: slow dissolving Macros and Micros low cost Cons lacking in some micro nutrients (I gave this a 4/5 only because it does lack some micro's, but that should not be a deterrent in choosing this product - I still fully recommend these root tabs and I have no doubt they will work for you.) I needed to 'recharge' some old aqua soil, so I was looking for a tablet type of fertilizer with higher levels of Macro nutrients than my current brand which is mainly micro nutrient focused. I find these actually work great. These do not float, and release nutrients slowly so as to not flood the water with nutrients all at once. I've actually used these in inert clay substrates and have gotten supposedly difficult plants to grow. I currently use these in conjunction with my usual brand, but these work so well that I'm actually considering totally switching over to these on an ongoing basis. Read more

Root tabs doing great job

Brian CabralesNovember 25, 2025✓ Verified purchase

Waited a week to leave my review. I placed 3 tabs in my tank and the plants seem to have really enjoyed it. My plants have made new roots and seem as healthy as ever. Fish and snail safe and no change to my water parameters. Would buy this product again when needed Read more

So far so good, easier to bury

I was recommended to try these tablets by another aquarium hobbyist. They are a much better deal than my flourish tabs and I’m told they have a better more comprehensive fertilizer spectrum. I did notice my plants pearling after I added these but I also did a water change which typically triggers it as well. I’ll update this review in a few months but so far seem great! Read more

Made a improvement in my low tech aquarium with no ill effects, I use Seahem flourish with it and have steady growth rate but not super fast. Read more

Short-shipped me, plus Horrible value, see comparison.

SUPER Disappointed, plus i got less product than advertised. Thrive Caps are the best, but I wanted a tablet form. This is MUCH smaller than I thought, and no micronutrients, so I'll have to buy another product also. Where's the value in that? Also, it says 60g per box, and each tablet is 0.8g, which means I get 75pcs, right? Nope, I got 55pcs. That's just theft. Comparison: each one of these is 0.8g, covers 1.55 square inches and lasts "up to" 2-3 months. Thrice Caps are 1g each, spaced 5-6 inches apart, and last 3-4 months. The capsules are a little difficult to work with, but like 3-5 times more efficiency and only $3 more (I bought these at $13.99, Thrive is $17.85). Read more
