Purchased this black travel bag b/c it fit the airline carry-on requirements and was inexpensive. I honestly did not expect it to hold up as well as it has. After 7 airplane trips and multiple college hauls, it's still in great shape! No holes or rips. Handles are still great with no sign of detachment at the seams. It's very lightweight. Easy to fold up & store when not in use. Zips up smoothly even after cramming a ton of stuff into it & having to push it closed to get it zipped. I bought 2 of these for a Scouting sailing trip. I wasn't sure if they'd be sturdy enough, but they seem well made and I loved the lightness-they don't add much weight or bulk at all. I like that they zip up compactly for storage as well. That being said, they're quite unstructured and don't have lots of secure outside pockets for organizing your items, so that's something to be aware of if you're looking for something with a little more shape. The mesh pockets on the ends were great for stuffing small items or dive socks into, but aren't secure. And the two small side pockets are very small, best for a wallet or other small, flat item. I didn't have much opportunity to check the water resistance, but we went home with some damp items and the moisture didn't come through the bag. I liked that the lighter fabric did seem to allow more breathability than a heavy canvas. I don't know how well the fabric would stand up to being checked in though, so that's another thing to consider. If you'll be checking your bag frequently, I might go for something else. I added a shoulder strap pad to the strap, which made carrying them comfortable and would recommend that if you'll be carrying it a lot. Overall I was really happy with them and think they'll be handy for future trips. If you want a lightweight, simple bag for gym or carry-on travel that stores well, this would be a good option. Great duffle for carry ons- the correct size, well made- we’ve had these bags for years without any issues. They fold and zip up small for easy storing. But boy has the price gone up- they used to be $14! Read more
Not much to say beyond the title. This has replaced the nylon duffel I had been using as a carry-on for decades before it finally wore out. I expect this to last at least as well. Zips into a nice compact package for throwing in a drawer or stashing in your big suitcase. Read more

I am a big fan of gonex, I have a bunch of the other bigger capacity bags and all of them have seemed to have held up. I have traveled on multiple occasions, using them as carry-ons and checked bags and they have seemed to hold up so far. They seem to be able to handle heavy usage and can hold a ton. Read more
Shoulder strap is not comfortable and attachment hook clasp is not sturdy. Material is very light-weight. It has an outside pocket which may fit a water bottle. It works for light-weight clothes/soft items -- would not put heavy shoes, heels, or items with a screen or hard/sharp edges in it. A plus is it zips up small/tight -- but the zipper sticks.
