This best is made of soft fabric, satiny on the back with a velvety buttoned front. I ordered up a size and the fit is good. The shape of the vest is pretty boxy, more so than the picture shows, as the seams don’t curve enough to make it fitted. But it doesn’t look bad on and the V neck line is flattering. Withthe right shirt or blouse underneath, and the right pants or skirt, it looks quite nice. It really dresses up my corduroy slacks. The vest looks well made, with good stitching, and the fabric and color are pretty. I like the little belt in back. The instructions say to machine wash, and being polyester that should work just fine, on delicate to preserve the features. Read more

The velvet fabric on this vest is actually really nice — soft, festive, and feels higher quality than expected. Unfortunately, once I put it on, the vibe shifted straight into Christmas elf territory. The cut just doesn’t land the way I hoped. Also, the buttonholes are tiny, which makes buttoning it a whole event in itself. If you want something whimsical for a holiday outfit, it might work, but for everyday wear… probably not. Read more

The vest is pretty. It is very soft, and looks nice when it’s on. It has a little adjustable belt in the back which adds interest if not wearing a jacket over it. I have worn it alone and over a white t-shirt, with and without an overlying jacket. It worked out great both ways, and dressed up the t-shirt quite nicely. I may wear it to a Christmas party with dress pants as well. While I love the versatility, it is a bit snug. I wish I had ordered one size up, but it still works. This vest is soft and pretty and is a nice quality. The fabric Is velvet on the front and the polyester lining and back looks and feels satiny. It has a good weight to it so it hangs nicely. I took a star off because I couldn’t button the last button. I’m 5’5” and 133 pounds and ordered a medium, which is my normal size. It actually fit everywhere else very nicely. I don’t often button my vests so this is not that important to might be to someone else. Read more

I'm impressed with the green vest I chose! The silk-lined back and well-made construction are fantastic. Although the buttons can be a bit tricky to open and close, the adjustable belt in the back is a great feature. I ordered a size down, hoping to fit into it by Christmas, but it's quite snug. Despite the 5% Spandex, it doesn't feel very stretchy. This would be a great item for Christmas or Saint Patrick's Day, and it would make a lovely gift for someone who likes vests. Read more
