Quality was great! I wanted a mat for yoga and Pilates. This suits both. The thickness is not too thick but not too thin. It’s perfect and the quality of the mat is great. The fabric does not pull. It stays taunt and sticks to the ground. I do wish it came with a strap for the price. Read more

This is a great yoga mat! My daughter wanted a new yoga mat for her classes and this one works perfectly. She wanted one that was a good thickness and this fit the bill. Not too thick and not too thin. It does not hold onto smells like others do, and rolls up perfectly every time. Highly recommend! Read more

Excellent mat recommended to me by a yogi. I didn’t think it would be this much better than my old $10 mat but it is. Still firm for balance but more cushioning somehow from the density of the material. Excellent stickiness and seems significantly durable. Read more

I was expecting a nasty smell out of the packaging, but nope, no nasty smell, woohoo! I got this because it's non-toxic. The orange sunburnt color is beautiful! This is a thin mat. I'm using it on dog training equipment. Read more

I love that this Gaiam Premium 5mm Yoga Mat has the perfect cushion. It is soft enough to be comfortable but not so soft that it affects my balance. The thickness feels just right for my knees and joints. It is lightweight so I can easily take it to class or store it at home. Overall it is supportive, comfortable, and convenient. A great mat for all types of yoga. Read more

Absolutely love this mat, for yoga and HIIT training. I've owned them all over 20 years - some mats are too thick and cushy, some are too thin, nearly all get slippery when you sweat on them. This cork mat from Gaiam is of a normal thickness (5mm) but is light to carry and feels very soft underfoot. It doesn't get slippery when wet (no need for a Yogitoes towel on top), and it looks quite nice as well. The only thing to be wary of is that you must always roll it cork-side out (otherwise it will crack). And don't leave it rolled up too tightly otherwise it will take time to flatten out fully before class. This is now my go-to workout mat and I'm hopeful that it will hold up over time. Bonus: I got the Gaiam mat-strap thingy that is similar to one of those "slap bracelets" we had as kids (in the 90s anyway) and it works like a charm. Read more

Thickness is what we were looking for but has a terrible chemical smell. We had to get it out of the room for several days before it wasn't as strong. Read more
