I really wanted to get a birth gown from Lila Laborwear, but it was too expensive to justify the purchase. I kept looking for something else, but nothing was backless, so I was worried that I would be told that I couldn't wear it if I got an epidural. If you're worried about that, I was able to wear it the whole time!! I just lifted up the robe. It is so worth it not to wear the undignified hospital gown that exposes your entire butt no matter how hard you try to hide it, feels rough, and looks so ugly. This made me feel a lot more comfortable in labor. I was actually covered up and it was soft. Unlike a hospital gown, it was also super easy to breastfeed in and open up to do skin to skin. I put the matching baby blanket right on top of my son, and we spent the entire first day of his life like that! It was so perfect! It was also easy to adjust the robe to do everything needed while in labor. I loved wearing it towards the end of pregnancy and postpartum too because it was so comfortable.
