I have three of these lights. I started with one as a test and loved it so much I bought two more. These lights stay on all night every night, even in winter. And I have them set on high. I wouldn’t call them super bright, but bright enough for lighting flower beds, etc. I have other Gama Sonic lights that are supposed to stay on “ up to 2 days” and don’t, but these do. These are quality lights that give off a claimed 200 lumen light output. Definitely better than most photo-voltaic path lights I have owned. There is some assembly required to unscrew the 4 screws attaching the base so that the light bulb can be installed. A problem arose with one of the screws that I was unable to budge. I had to drill out the head of the screw in order to remove the base from the top. I removed what was left of the screw to find that it was a slightly smaller diameter than the other screws, thus causing it to bind when initially installed. Quality control? I really like these solar lights. Since they are larger sized and have much larger solar panels than typical solar lights they stay on all night long and continue to shine brightly (even on the low setting). My only complaint is that for the price the bulb cover should be glass not plastic. Particularly since the rest of the light assembly is sturdy metal. Read more

Wow, when I saw this solar light person I realized how large it is. This is a beautiful large size pathway light that illuminates the area very nicely, unlike those tiny cheap ones you find at the local home improvement store. The pole is made of sturdy aluminum and you have the option for the length (use the extender piece or not) and the mounting style (pointed stake for sticking it in the groud, or a base to bolt down into cement). First time setup: unscrew the 4 screws that hold the light cover and insert the bulb. Select the switch position to high or low. This uses a pre-installed LiPo lithium battery that is replaceable, although it appears to be a specialty battery type that is less common. This type of LiPo battery chemistry packs the most power density of any lithium battery type. Overall I love this pathway light. It is large, solidly constructed, looks beautiful, and puts out a good amount of light. Read more

This is a well made and sturdy solar powered light. It can be mounted by stake or by the base. The only thing I found annoying was having to remove the screws to install the bulb, especially when my unit arrived without instructions, so I had to figure it out. I have a number of solar walk lights, and they work 'ok' as dim markers for a few hours, but are totally useless in winter, on the north side of the house where they get little sun. This one, however, because of the much larger solar panel, gets enough sun to power it most of the night, and at a really bright level, too....easily multiple times the brigtness of the other cheap lights. The material is very solid aluminum tubing - and can be pushed in or hard mounted. The quality (and weight) is impressive - clearly very well thought out for durability and long lasting functionality. On most nights this winter this light has stayed lit all night long (it does get dimmer with time) and frequently is well lit on nights the other, cheap, lights have no output at all. The only downside is that the large flat solar plate doesn't shed snow, so you need to remember so brush it off when you shovel. Easily the nicest solar walk light I've ever seen, highly recommended! We needed a backyard light when we got a new puppy, so we could see him when he goes out for his night time potty break. We've had two other Gama Sonic solar lights for the end of our driveway that has lasted for several years, so we know it's a reputable brand. The assembly of this lamp was super easy, and it's bright enough that it illuminates our 1/2 acre back yard. This lamp is even sturdier than the lights we have at the end of our driveway, and I love that the parts are mostly metal. I expect this lamp to last a several years. Read more

This is a sturdy solar light that’s quite large. Easy to assemble, came in five pieces, four of the pieces screwed together ready to be used. The fifth piece is a mounting plate for wood or concrete, it came with four concrete screws. You can leave out one section to have it shorter to the ground. All pieces are metal even the stake, except the light itself. You have to install the bulb yourself by removing four small screws, no extras are included. After you install the bulb you also need to switch the light to on before replacing the cover. Has six 18650 batteries that is soldered, so you get a working light all night long, ours turned on at dusk and was just as bright at dawn which is amazing for a solar powered light. It is only a warm light, so it has that yellowish color, wished it could be switched to a cool or daylight mode. Not sure if bulbs are available for purchase or how long it will last, only came with one, it’s not a E26 base. I personally believe it’s overpriced, maybe worth paying if it came with two. If you are looking for a solar light that lasts all night I would recommend. Read more
