The controller wasnt wat i was expected, granted it has decent springs in the joysticks and the hall effect works great, my issue lies with the rriggers, you have to pull them 50% in to get a response and after that they become super sensitive as if there is no variable to them, the buttons felt...squishy... more so than a stuck xbox controller, aside from that it feels nice in the hands and instructions on button mapping are easy to follow, i dont intend on returning it as it is a good spare to have, but buyer beware is all i have to say really **update** So it would appear that that there is a application for console and pc that needs to be installed, once that was installed the controller updated and the calibrations could be done and now it works great, full range sensing, i would like to say that i think this should be labeled non plug n play as it needs the app so it can be calibrated, i only found out abot after a friend mentioned it as my box didnt have the imfo on the app, so my.revirw went from 3 to 5 stars Read more

The GameSir Kaleid Controller is a well built (feeling) controller that is marred by Poor Firmware. The controller worked well when it worked. Specifically the controller, once configured, would "forget" some of its settings. In the 2 to 3 weeks I had the device, Windows 10 did not recognize the controller as the proper controller twice. In order to force Windows to recognize the device as the GameSir Kaledi Controller I had to use GameSir's software first. Once done, then Windows would recognize the controller as a GameSir Kaleid controller. (By the way, this occurred AFTER updating the device's firmware using the GameSir's software.) Furthermore I also use Pop_OS! (Linux) as well as Windows 10. The GameSir Kaleid Controller usually worked. However, it twice forced the view in a game to look upwards at the ceiling and remain there. In order to restore functionality I would have to boot into Windows 10 and use the GameSir software to somehow reset the device so it would work properly in Pop_OS! The GameSir Kaleid Controller is NOT RECOMMENDED which is unfortunate as the device feels good in one's hands. But the constant resetting / re-initializing the device holds this controller back. There are plenty of other controllers out there which just work (and remain working). Read more
