Very well made and works nicely on our glass stove-top as well as in the oven. We bought this originally to make German pancakes, not paella ...but maybe one day we'll make that too. We've found so many uses for this pan -- sauteed vegetables, chicken parmesan, (sauce in a separate pan), fresh-caught fish, pork chops... The list goes on. A practical size for a household of two. The size is perfect for our purposes, with the added advantage that it's easier to store than the larger pans of this type. We're very happy with it. 5 stars! Read more

oh, i love the pan. it is a great size, and perfect for the task. however, one of the handles came pre-chipped. without the chip i would have rated it 4 stars, as it is priced a bit more than similar items i have purchased recently, and not as deep as the photo seems to show. it is one of those irritating things where i would almost return it for refund, but it is just too much trouble to go into town. I had been looking for a pan like this for literally years -- but didn't know what to call it. This is exactly like the pan my grandmother had back in my childhood (WAY too many years ago) that she used for everything and it was great. Hers was mild carbon steel but shaped exactly like this one -- although I do prefer the enamel. I use this for everything except Paella (which I have never cooked) in fact just baked two salmon portions on it tonight. It is perfect for one or two, but a larger one (which I also bought) is really needed for company. Great pan -- don't be put off by the name it can be used for vastly more than things than Paella! This is my mistake as a consumer. It has a 6 inch base and 8 inch opening. I wanted to make paella with this pan, but it works great as sauté veggie pan. It is ceramic coated, and easy to wash. It is made in Spain with a quality feel. There are small blemishes upon close inspection, however it is made for culinary cooking. Read more

I bought it to replace one of the same size that had a non-stick finish that was flaking off (different brand). I use it a lot and would definitely buy it again. Read more
