These tools are awesome! I am a rv park manager and gave these to my maintenance crew to try and they work great. You can pop out weeds root and all as well as really clean the curb area. Our property is a patchwork of sand and clay, and using a horseshoe hoe is frustrating work in those clay patches. This time of year, early spring, I have a fine carpet of weeds all over my garden and I try very hard to spend some time in the garden most days working the soil to stop it from becoming an unholy thicket of hell weeds that is almost impossible to get under control. Today I was muttering, grumbling and sweating as I tried to get rid of clump grass that was springing up in clay with my hoe and then I remembered these nifty tools I bought a while ago. They are so much more effective in the clay than the horseshoe hoe, I'm quite delighted with them. The only downsides are 1- some patches of grass are difficult to remove from the tool after they're pulled up, sometimes I can get the clay and grass off by smacking the tool against a fence post but other times I had to take t off with my hands. 2- the "handle" is hollow, it looks like it's meant to be put on a long handle, which would be delightful and much easier on the back, but there aren't any holes so i don't know how I could affix it to said handle. This is my new most favorite ever garden tool! The silly things we enjoy as we get older but i was soo very excited to see how easy these things pull up weeds and i was very easily able to use it to turn over just the very top soil of our garden beds where was needed! I recommend these to everybody i know that gardens! These are an absolute must in your garden tool box, these are very well built! I have yet to be able to break one even if i was tugging on it with all my weight and still have yet to break one! The only thing i can say that has done any damage to one of ours is we caught a 1/2” round tree root accidentally and it barely bend one of the tines back and still working like a champ! Not a great tool at all. Could not remove any weeds. All edges are blunt, not sharp so I could not even slice through the weed at ground level. You can forget the tool pulling weeds by the root. Not happening! I find the angle of the head very hard to work with. It needs to be more of a 90 degree angle versus a 45 degree angle to be able to claw into the ground. Very disappointed.
