This is a fair sized duffle. Definitely enough for a weekend trip or long weekend - and if you're clever and efficient - long enough for a week. The garment bag feature is very cool for those times you need to travel with something a little more formal - suit and pants, or a partner's outfit. The interior is mostly "unplanned" space - with a number of smaller pockets which line the interior for incidentals. All have either an elastic or zip close to retain the contents. There is a vented shoe compartment - which works - although it impinges on the interior space available for clothes - also it's not large, I wear size 10s and the length of the compartment is only _just_ enough. The way it all zips to roll up and make a roughly cylindrical bag is neat - although it does make the opening a bit odd when packing your regular travel clothes. The material is good quality - for the price - and the stitching is OK. The straps and clasps all seem to be good quality; I wouldn't expect to hike the Appalachian Trail with it as a backpack - and nor would I put it under a lot of duress. But normal travel with a jog in the airport to catch a flight would be fine. It's a nice addition as a carry-on - for your clothes and other essentials. The positioning of the interior pockets is a bit cumbersome if you have a security check where you need to pull such items out. The design is an interesting compromise that gets you a lot of functionality - in the same way there are better knives which are just knives than a multi-tool - this is a multi-tool for those times you need a lot of possible functionality and don't want to have a dozen dedicated bags. This is one of the best duffle bags I have ever purchased... It fulfills so many critical needs when traveling. I also appreciate the fact that it has high quality fabric and zippers that feel substantial. It is a great price and covers most of the needs I've had when traveling and saves me the hassle of packing a separate garment bag when traveling for business or formal events. It did come out of the package with a little bit of a factory new-rubber kind of odor, but that went away after a few weeks of it being out of the package. I appreciate the fact that it can be carried three ways, including with backpack straps that make it more easy to schlep around at airports as a carry on. I just showed it to my wife, who has a bag that cost her five times the price, and she just ordered one of her own. I'm a little jealous because the Green version wasn't available when I ordered, but my wife is getting that one, its a really beautiful color. Don't get me wrong, I like the deep blue that I got also... but man... what a cool looking bag that covers all your needs when you will be traveling. It has tons of little pockets and areas to slip little things like a toiletry bag and even has a separate shoe compartment that I've fit a spare set of dress shoes, flipflops and some low top hiking boots in (I wear a size 9 men's shoe). This thing could fit a week's worth of clothing, plus sleepwear and that little garmet bag area is the coup de gras. Fantastic design and I highly recommend it. Read more
I picked up this bag for a recent trip where I need the whole suit and tie thing (becoming more and more rare). It was a long trip with multiple flights so this bag got put through it's paces. Quality is top notch. The material is almost "luxurious" in feel and appearance. One of my biggest concerns was the zippers, but they held up fine and appear to be up to the job of carrying a heavy load, cause a heavy load is exactly what I had in this bag. Suit, shoes, heavy jacket, toiletries... all of it. The bag held up fantastic and fit easily into the overhead bins. So what are those minor things? 1) Weight. The bag is heavy when empty (material quality), but add all that luggage stuff and we're talking about a sore shoulder in no time. So, some type of casters would make this bag much better. Don't even need a handle, the side handle works fine just add some wheels to the other end. Next, while it has a lot of good pockets, I'd like to see one of those long external pockets with a divider. I had trouble chasing stuff around in the pocket when I needed it. Finally, you need to realize that a bigger guy is going to need to fold his jacket to make it fit into this bag. Just need to take that into account. My jacket was not badly wrinkled or creased, but... So, great bag. Could be a little better = 4 stars Read more
I couldn’t be happier with this garment duffel bag—it’s the perfect travel companion for anyone who wants to stay organized and wrinkle-free on the go. I was so impressed after using mine once that I immediately bought a second for my spouse! The design is genius: it opens up flat to fit suits, dresses, or formal wear, then zips up into a sleek duffel with plenty of space for shoes, toiletries, and more. The quality is excellent—the zippers are smooth, the fabric is durable and water-resistant, and it looks much more expensive than it is. It’s compact enough to carry on a plane but still holds a surprising amount. If you travel for weddings, work, or weekend getaways, this bag is a total game-changer. No more juggling a garment bag and a carry-on—this does both beautifully. Highly recommend! Read more
Loooooooove this bag!!! I was able to pack a whole tulle gown and then some in this bag for a 4 day weekend trip and it was perfect. The bag itself does have some weight to it prior to packing a the straps don’t stay in place. It also had a bad smell upon receiving it. I sprayed this bag with deodorizers and all an it didn’t work. I then hung it up by the carry straps on a hanger in a doorway of my home and THAT did the trick. For precautionary purposes I also purchased an arm & hammer closet deodorizer and placed it in the bag with my dress to eliminate any odors that may have been trapped that I could not smell. When or if you purchase this bag please purchase in advance (more than a week) to give adequate time for airing out. Read more
