Gatco 1570 Shower Caddy full Chrome 8 75 Inch

After weighing the expense of adding stone shelves $$$, I happened upon these shelves in the shower at a Westin Hotel and they seemed perfect. The one at the hotel was a bit small but these are really roomy and hold all my wife's shower "essentials". Beware, they require four real "holes" and you'll need a quarter inch diamond hole saw to cut through ceramic or stone, but all the installation screws and plastic mollies were included. I went with the nickel finish and when they arrived the box said chrome on one side and nickel on the other but they came as ordered. Very heavy and well made. Couldn't be happier with our purchase! Just installed. Installation was as expected. The plastic "anchor bolts" are quite large, so I swapped out for a much smaller diameter as I didn't care to drill such a large hole in shower grout/tile. Provided screws worked just fine. Small rubber washers included with screws squished out from pressure of screws, so they were worthless. Just put a silicon caulk in and around the holes/anchor bolts. This is a geat product and is built really well but the picture is wrong at least right now 12/27/13 it is. Looks similar but the rails actually go in the opposite direction. Again this a solid basket and we really like it just thought people might want to know. It is very large also but that is what we wanted so its perfect. Read more

This is a perfect sized basket for shampoo and conditioner bottles -- it is beautiful, and substantial! We live in Florida, what can I say - everything seems to rust sooner or later, so you want something of quality in your shower. I bought and installed the smaller sized Gatco basket about 2 years ago in our ceramic tiled shower and it looked great, was very solid, (no rust because it is stainless), and it still looks like I bought it yesterday. I added this larger basket to the same shower and now everything is within easy reach and it looks very elegant. I thought it was worth the price. Read more

This is an edit to my comments below. Amazon was wonderful and quick in responding to my concerns below and offered a solution to my problem. Their customer service is great and even under these circumstances, I would definitely use Amazon again. I ordered a Gatco 8 1/2 " shower basket in satin nickle. The description states it is made of brass and coated in satin nickel. The order arrived but it is stainless steel with satin nickel, This is the problem with internet ordering. I don't have time to re-order because we have the contractors finishing up. I've had this product for a few years. Over the past year the prongs on the bottom continue to pop out even though most of the time I only keep 2 to 3 shampoo bottles in them. I pop them back in but after a few days they fall back out. There is rust that has developed since the prongs are exposed. I'm not totally unhappy with item but the box indicated there is a lifetime warranty. I submitted a request into customer service and they took care of the problem and are sending me a replacement.
