Received this 3 days ago to replace a possibly failing 2 year old HD BENQ 21' monitor. The BENQ had developed an annoying flicker whenever it awakened from sleep and I was not sure what the problem was. From research it could be either my computers built in video or the monitor that was at issue. The low price and lack of reviews made it a bit of a gamble to buy the Gawfolk. But hard to resist having a 144hz 24" monitor for such a low price. I like the fact that the base unit does not block the mounting holes so I was able to hang my mini PC in the back. After adjusting some of the settings to my preference (enhance text and 25 for Blue light) I only had to change frequency in the computer settings and wham it was sharp picture. This thing starts fast from sleep, is rock solid and all in all a great upgrade. I am impressed how snappy it is at bringing up websites. I do not game nor do graphics so I can not say how those would be. If the monitor should fail before its time I will update this review. Read more

Reviews are messed up here because the maker did not inform the buyers there is a protective overlay on the screen which has to be removed. The edges of that overlay are so perfectly aligned with the display you can't tell it is there except for the production number in dot matrix, and the latest shipments have stickers warning to remove the overlay. It is shiny but underneath is a low glare surface. One star off for the maddening cheap buttons for monitor brightness and settings - they just cut tabs into the case that bend in when you press, they are on the bottom side and REALLY NOT INTUITIVE! It takes time and patience to figure out the seemingly random order of button pressing to make adjustments that it remembers. The display itself is sharp and the slight curve comes close to matching the perspective from the user's eye position. Better than a totally flat display. The base to monitor hinge mount is very flimsy, has to be on a sturdy table or it will rock and swing with any table movement or key pressing. Read more

Not what they claim it is. It's not hdmi 2k its only 1080p hdmi. Hdr is bullcrap. No speakers. There is a shadow image when you play games with fast moving scenes. Looks like its a 1080p that has been tweaked to run 2k. Not true 2k. Also my monitor arrived to me with a dead pixel. I blame the delivery people cause they literally dropped my package from shoulder height to the ground then I grabbed it from them. And they didn't properly package the monitor. good quality, packaged nicely and easy setup. disappointed they didn't have speakers built in but it is what it is. They do produce quite a bit of heat very quickly and consistently and have made my desk quite warmer while at work. i have never had a monitor get this hot this fast before. so not bad overall but def something to take into consideration when getting them and more than likely the reason i end up replacing them soon Read more
