This adhesive shelf works great in my ancient acrylic tub surround installed in the '70's when, apparently, no one used nearly a dozen products in the shower. Caddy arrived promptly. It was shipped in a larger box with other orders. The caddy and adhesive strip were enclosed in a cellophane bag. The caddy appearance and size description (about 14”Lx 4” Wx 3”H) were accurate and were as noted on Amazon. The acrylic caddy is very clear with vertical ridges molded into the acrylic. I noticed no chemical smell when opening the package. There were no instructions included in the package, so you will have to rely on those basic instructions provided on the Amazon web site. Even though not found in directions, I did wipe the surface with alcohol before applying the adhesive strip. I wasn’t sure what to expect from an adhesive acrylic/plastic shelf, but this met my limited expectations. Installation was easy- no drilling, no tools, and no damage to the surface. I just cleaned the surface, stuck the adhesive strip on, and let set for 24 hours. The caddy/shelf holds more than I expected. The weight limit is about 10lbs. The adhesive seems strong and is holding up well, so far. Design-wise, it has a modern and somewhat minimalist look. I wanted this for the covenience and de- cluttering effect of keeping things organized and within reach. There’s good drainage with angled slotted holes all along the bottom so no water pools in the bottom. The caddy slots down onto the adhesive strip, so removing for cleaning purposes should be easy. Given this is adhesive and plastic, this is not a decades long solution but hopefully will work fine for a few years, which is all I expect. I dislike clutter, to include the racks you place on faucets and shower heads as well as having ledges cluttered with items, so this was an OK solution for me!
