After 20+ years, my GE microwave died suddenly. Shopping for a new one, I looked for one similar in size but in a color (black and stainless) to go with my newer range. I found another GE. I hope it lasts half as long as the old one. It was fairly easy for my husband, son-in-law and daughter to install. Actually weighs less than the old one and a bit larger, but fits well under my cabinets, over the range. So far it works great. But just installed yesterday, so not much time to judge. It was delivered on time (earlier than I would have thought with shortages everywhere). Will update as I have more experience with it. Read more

Well we finally had to get a new microwave and this is a nice one. It is very sleek looking and handsome (if you can say that about a microwave). It come arrived pretty quickly which was real good.It did have a dent on top of it but since it was going under the cabinet I didn't see any reason to return it. My husband needed help holding up the machine but was very easy to install. It didn't have as many button selections as my last one but it will do the job. I am happ with it. Read more

We bought this 3.5 years ago when we bought our house… the kitchen was newly remodeled & had the spot for the microwave above the stove top, but they never installed one. Purchased to replace the 15 yr old GE that looks the same but was heftier . Cheaply built. I cut my hands on sharp edges. This one has more plastic in it. It works, but not perfect. Installation manual referred to Owner's Manual which was NOT INCLUDED. Grease filters keep falling out. Wrong turntable support included; Fortunately I had one that fit (from the one I was replacing). Turntable is a bit smaller. Size as advertised; The unit fit in the space, so that was good. This was my only choice. Also, they went from 3 upper mounting bolts to 2. Suggest going back to 3 bolts on the heavy side with the motor. And get rid of those razor sharp edges. Read more

The most important thing to know from this review is that when returning you need to pay to repackage everything yourself and then bring it to UPS. For UPS to package everything up was $50 out of my pocket. I did call Amazon Support and after complaining for a while they gave me a promotional credit that can be use only Amazon items (not just anything sold through Amazon). The box this can in was torn apart and not properly closed. Both handles had ripped on the sides which makes me assumed it had been dropped as well. There was even a washer from inside the box that only got to me because it got stuck in the loose tape. The only packaging inside the box was a piece of styrofoam for the bottom but nothing protecting the sides or top. The control panel was not properly connected so the top right was separated from the rest of the microwave. You could see the low quality of manufacturing done to hold it there which I’m sure is part of why it was damaged. The piece used to hang it on the wall was also very cheap and flimsy which is likely why it came bent. The instructions were both torn and very unclear. Step six for instance said to skip ahead to step 3 which made no sense. Luckily hanging a microwave is pretty self explanatory or that alone would have gotten me stuck. I would not buy a microwave or anything like it through Amazon again due to the return process and I wouldn’t recommend buying GE appliances due to the low quality and crappy packaging / instructions.
