I bought this microwave two years ago and it was a good microwave while it lasted. Just tried to microwave something and there is not microwaving going on! Light works, fan works but no heat. I was hoping to have a microwave that lasted longer than two years. Read more

Stopped working after only 9 months
Microwave stopped heating after making a loud abnormal buzzing sound ... probably a magnetron failure. Now forced to go through consumer torture of arranging and waiting many days for repair. Every GE major appliance I've bought has had a major (and costly) component failure within 2-3 years or less -- microwave (magnetron), dishwasher (both electronic control units), refrigerator (circuit board), range (electronic control unit), heat pump water heater (defective condenser). UPDATE: It was a magnetron failure. Luckily, the warranty was still in effect and GE repaired it after a 2 week delay due to waiting for parts. Read more
