The media could not be loaded. My thumbs split every winter and are so very painful. Bandaid do not stay on long. I found these on Amazon and love them. They work great. I can put meds or cream on my split cut on my thumb then put one of these over it. They stay on great. You can also wash under warm water and let dry. They can be re-used. If you work outdoors with your hands in cold weather or just dry winter environments these are for you. I’m an electrician and in the New England weather no matter what your trade is working in this environment your, thumbs & fingers dry and crack and keep you up at night with the pain If you don’t take care them, it happens. These help protect your fingers and thumbs enough to keep you working and aid in the repair so you can sleep without waking up with the pain. I would use Electrical tape and bandaids, but they would fall off halfway through the day and have to redo them and in social situations look ugly. Those that have been there know! These will help do the job without the black tape. So far they seen to be good quality and comfortable. I’m Just starting to use them and they’re really better than the alternative. I ordered a package of these gel finger cots to help protect a damaged thumbnail. This product does a great job protecting and the material is soft and comfortable. Cleaning is easy and it stretches and fits perfectly, even on my fat thumb. The issue that I am experiencing is that the material doesn't seem to breathe at all, but that is really on me because they make these cots that have holes in them so your skin can breathe and I did not select them instead. The result is that my skin turns very white after wearing for an extended period. Not a huge deal. I just remove it from time to time to allow some air to get to my thumb and nail. Read more

These finger Cots are very good. I only rated these 3 stars because they turned out to be not quite what I was looking for. This was more of a purchase error on my part rather than a product deficiency. I was looking more for something just to cover a cut thumb while working with my hands. These are more of a heavier preventive cover to avoid cuts and blisters. The product is good quality and will protect thumbs very well. After I read reviews from other people with similar issues, I was convinced that I needed this product. I have had trouble with cracked skin next to my right thumb (and sometimes both sides of it and/or the same problem on my left thumb) for around ten years. I carry mild soap in a small plastic bottle in my purse to avoid harsh soaps in public bathrooms. I use lotion plus aquaphor on my hands along with spa gloves at night on a recommendation from a dermatologist. I wear a food prep glove on my hand when cooking. For three months this summer the crack went away. Then it returned. Not surprisingly, this thumb cot doesn't remove the skin crack, but it keeps it from getting infected when my thumb comes in contact with food. I like its skin color that doesn't call attention to it. I wash it after each use and keep one in a sandwich bag in two handbags so it's handy. Read more
